Hola, I’m Karla Stelling, the designer behind Mod Ink!
I’m a Graphic and Surface Pattern Designer based outside Washington, D.C.
I was born and raised in Venezuela, where my childhood home — adorned with Mid-Century Modern decor — sparked my love for bold shapes and vibrant colors. These influences inspire the geometric, and playful designs I create today.
With over 20 years of design experience — 10 of those focused on surface pattern design — I bring bold, trendy, and playful patterns to life across a variety of industries. My work is showcased on stationery, gifts, home decor, and apparel, found on platforms like Society6, Printify, and Zazzle.

This playful collection is inspired by the Spanish proverb, “Ojos que no ven, corazón que no siente,” reminding us that what we don’t see may not affect our hearts.
