UAE CAN PRODUCE SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE BY SUPPORTING HYDROPONIC FARMING Ajman University Professors have published a research paper on “Business valuation strategy for new hydroponic farm development, a proposal towards sustainable agriculture development in United Arab Emirates.” The paper was co-authored by Gyanendra Singh Sisodia and Raweya Alshamsi College of Business Administration, Ajman University, with the participation of Bruno S. Sergi Harvard University, to evaluate a hydroponic farm (nutrient film technique) while considering uncertainty, sustainability and the system’s utility in the dominant desert geography and its usefulness in UAE and the Gulf region for food security and sustainability. The researchers approached the study using the following design and methodology, evaluating the hydroponic farm using Net Present Value (NPV) and real options approach.
