After all, chef Bill Taibe is the man behind some of our favorite menus in Fairfield County (The Whelk, Kawa Ni, Don Memo and most recently, Norwalk’s The Art Space Cafe). Here, his recipe for good living, the perfect kitchen setup and a handpicked soundtrack to make any meal better.
The one thing that always makes me feel at home is…my dogs and my family. My guilty pleasure is… late night chocolates or sour candies. Love ’em. My favorite place in the world is…the top of a ski run on a sunny day. I try to get out there as much as I can.

My coffee go-to… ”What Bill’s Having” at The Art Space Cafe. I love it. It is an iced coffee drink that combines pistachio milk, matcha, espresso and Luxardo cherries.
My favorite thing about living here is… the seasons and having something new to cook with every few months. My favorite piece in my home is…my couch. It is where I can relax and spend time with my boys watching a game. My dream kitchen looks like…the one I have. It is a chefdesigned kitchen inside and out. We renovated it a few years back, and we really made it everything we wanted. I love the open shelves where I can see all my jars of teas and condiments. I have a slight addiction to condiments. The ideal dining room includes…great food and friends with the perfect lighting.

I would love to have my grandfather, who passed when I was little, just so I could have a conversation with him as an adult. Eddie Vedder, because, why not? And my wife, Rachel. What am I serving? Probably, Indian takeout or a perfectly cooked roasted chicken with some great roasted vegetables.
