The façade cladding is made from boards of broken pallets from the transportation industry. A pallet is tossed out if only a minor part of the pallet is broken, as it then cannot carry out its original function anymore. We suggest, that pallets like these are to be split up, torn pieces are thrown away while all the undamaged wood are to be used as façade cladding. The cladding is arranged in a system that does not harm the boards, since no screws are put into the wood. The boards are instead held tight with screws in between the placements of the boards, meaning that the boards easily can be replaced or disassembled for new purposes.

Wood risks to rot if it remains wet for a longer period of time. Therefore, drip noses are cut-out in order to ensure that rainwater can drip of the wood in the fastest possible way. Moreover, where boards are placed end to end, drip noses and air gaps ensure water release. If a board becomes superficially damaged, one can screw it out and flip it horizontally (to keep the right angles of the cut-out drip noses) and thereby use the other side of the board. This principle is meant to extent the lifespan of the cladding elements.
