1 HANAN

Private Villa

Modern villa in Qunfudhah, on a land of 512 m2, with a building area of 240 m2, The building masses were designed based on environmental studies and privacy considerations for outside open areas. The ground floor scheme is an open design, It has the main living room connected to the family dining area in one open space, and there is one central kitchen linked visually to the beautiful outside garden and functionally with a primary storage area. The first floor includes a terrace between three main bedroom suites. The overall theme of the villa design tends to be minimal, modern, and integrated with natural elements. 2 EKNAN

DUPLEX VILLA Award winner project in competition presented by ROSHN for local residential architectural design, The core concept of the project is to provide dwelling experience to ensure the privacy requirements of the social traditions through contemporary lifestyle Jeddah the bride of the Red Sea is known to be the main port of the Kingdom and the gateway of the two holy cities. Jeddah includes treasures inspiring the art and architecture of Hejaz and symbolizing the city’s diverse traditions and eventful history. The richness of the historic area is a result of human value exchange, building materials, and techniques across the region. The construction materials used in the domestic buildings of Jeddah utilize the surrounding environment through extracting coral stones from the Red Sea shore, teakwood imported through the seaport, purified clay taken from lakes used to cement the coral stones, and the gypsum for front doors decoration.



Design Concept The approach was to reform the prism, basic shape, through implementing a semi-enclosed courtyard that brings indirect sunlight and minimal exposure while extending the visual field. The application of the redefined Mashrabiya screens and the semi-closed courtyards emphasize the idea of inner privacy. The building units were inspired by the traditional buildings stacking effect which is adaptable to growth and is cost effective.

Solid Wall: Placed to prevent exposure between neighbors emphasising privacy.

The layout frees more space for the main living spaces by grouping all the utilities and circulation in the center of both units creating a core.

Courtyard: Used to provide sunlight without comprimising the resident’s privacy.

Mashrabiyya: Re-definig mashrabiya using patterned sliding doors to help increse the velocity of flowing air through small openings.







3 TURKI

Private Villa

Modern villa in in Mecca, on a land of 660m2 with a building area of 387 m2 , The design challenge for this villa is to design two separate additional apartments without negatively affecting the design of the main villa nor the privacy of users. the main entrances to the villa are separated from the side entrances to the apartments. The ground floor area and half of first floor area has been allocated to the main villa functions to connect its functions with family private gardens and directed all family rooms in to it. As for the two separate apartments, one of them was allocated half the area of the first floor towards the main street, and the other the entire area of the roof floor. Private Villa

Modern villa in in Jeddah, on a land of 600m2, with a building area of 310 m2 , Following the family’s traditions, the principle of privacy was considered in this villa without affecting the quality of the design. So, the guest section was separated into a “Diwaniya”, the elevator was separated by a sliding door, the balcony was covered with foldable black slides, and the building masses were designed to cover the side garden of the family. Despite the client’s consideration to confirm the privacy factor, the house preserved its principles and the quality of family life in it.

5 YEHIA

Private Villa

Modern villa in in Jeddah, on a land of 445m2, with a building area of 295 m2 , According to the family’s needs, the roof floor has been allocated as a separate housing unit. Accordingly, the design was processed to achieve the highest efficiency of the spaces by addressing the privacy of different users and achieving the required design quality. The widest side of the land was determined to be the entrance to the family and their gardens, which treated the direct southern sun with several solutions, including horizontal foldable louvers and a roof canopy.

6 KHALED

Private Villa

Modern villa in in Khamees Msheat, on a land of 525m2, with a building area of 365 m2 , As we are used to, the villa is designed based on site studies and analysis. One of the advantages of the site is that the land is bordered by two streets, one main and the other secondary. On this basis, the spaces were divided to be the guest section on the main street side and the family section on the secondary street side, In this approach, all the needs of the family were met and the daily and seasonal goals of the design were achieved so that there would be flexible to accommodate all seasonal occasions and daily activities for them.

7 HASAN

Private Villa

Modern Architectural design for a villa in Mecca, With an area of 300 m2 on a land area of 900 m2, The building masses are designed according to the sun study, which created shaded private green spaces in the middle area. It also creates a visual connection between internal spaces and external aesthetic elements. The ground floor scheme is an open design, It has the main living room connected to the family dining area and an open kitchen linked to the outside seating area. The other side of the plan contains a guest room with a secondary entrance linked to a private dining area. The first floor contains bedrooms for the children and the master bedroom in addition to a gym area.

8 The Red Sea

FILM FESTIVAL A project nominated to win in a competition presented by RED SEA FILM FESTIVAL FOUNDATION to redesign the main layout of the festival site. The main layout of the festival site has been redesigned to allow for maximum views towards the downtown skyline, especially at night, when the majority of activities and events take place. The Red Sea Film Festival promises to be an international event showcasing regional and global films. It will be a gathering of talented individuals and experienced filmmakers right next to the Old Town of Jeddah. The event promises to be a highlight in the film industry calendar and therefore requires an iconic backdrop for the various activities and programs that will take place. Mashrabeyyah at Night The skyline views of downtown Jeddah at night would be the defining image for the festival, as stars and media personalities enter the main hall, this will be the ideal backdrop for media interviews and photographic opportunities. Reminiscent of a glowing Mashrabeyyah at night, the main venue recreates the atmosphere of walking in the Old town at night, with glowing lanterns and rays of light with intricate patterns beaming onto coral walls of Balad. The main hall of the Film Festival is located right on the water and at night, the Mashrabeyyah mural screen will glow dramatically at night.


Mashrabeyyah Mural Screen The free standing Mashrabeyyah mural screen creates a buffer area between the venue outdoor areas and the entrance of the main venue hall. Inspired in scale by the small alleyways of Old Jeddah, this semi-public zone becomes a transition space both physically, but most importantly, psychologically, as it provides an outdoor foyer space for visitors to socialize, wait and mingle prior to entering the interior of the main hall.





9 Amman Local

Bank

Architectural design project in Amman Jordan. One of the undergraduate projects It is located in an active area between two streets, one main commercial and the other is residential. The land area is 3800 m2 and the building area is 820 m2, with the area of the parking sufficient for 36 cars.

The concept of the bank design The clarity in dealing, transparency of transactions and financial stability, positive statements describing distinguished banks, we took these concepts and reflected them on the identity of the building and drew it on a plan and described it in the design. We reflected the concept of stability in the leaner mass and the transparency with the plan of the open space and the double volume between the floors, not two mentions the surrounding curtain walls which create a clean and healthy environment, this creates a connection between the building’s internal elements in the same time connection between the building and the outer perimeter. 1st Floor Plan





10 MERAKI

Coffee Shop

Interior design for a coffee shop specializing in the production and preparation of specialty coffee, The project is divided into two main zones, A public zone in the ground floor, It can be accessed from the main entrance, It contains the main bar, roasting area, and indoor and outdoor seating areas, A private zone can only be reached by elevator, It takes the area of the first floor and mezzanine floor, It has a kitchen with a secondary bar, A semi-private seating area on the mezzanine floor, from which the balcony can be reached, Private seating area and secluded library.

The Design Methodology After a long study, we were able to identify the most important strengths of the project, On the basis of it was determined the methodology used in the design and one of the most important strengths of these is the barista. The Barista is the meeting point for all the components of the project and the key to a design solution. On this basis, the design was created.

The Design Concept The specialty of coffee is characterized by several principles, It starts from the quality of coffee growing to roast and ends with the way you prepare a cup of coffee, All of that precision was reflected in the design methodology and linked to several metaphors, For example, wood and plant elements were very important to reverse the organic aspect of coffee making, which in turn gives warmth to the place, And also the choice of white tiles, which has the character of laboratories, has a role in reflecting the accuracy of brewing coffee, Clearly, you can feel the specialization in the manufacture of coffee from design elements and its environment.


Details Always Matter The interior design of this project has reached the highest level of detail, which reflects in its content the identity of the place and meets all user needs, It was a custom build started from the careful selection of items and design colors to designing and creating new elements.
