BRIEF To design a luxury residence at the outskirts of Trichy for a joint family. The site is surrounded by greenery, with Kaveri river flowing on the south side of the site providing a visual field and road abu�ng the north

CONCEPT The design challenge was to give proper func�onality of all the required spaces along with providing views to all the living spaces. The design seeks to experiment with the no�on of simplicity and essen�al design and also subtly ins�ll upon the user a strong spa�al character.

BRIEF To design a Motel (Highway Restaurant) on Trichy-Madurai highway to refresh the travellers. Design to be achieved in a rectangular site surrounded by vegeta�on with a sea�ng capacity of 100

CONCEPT Roof VEn�la�on helps heat to escape from the building and thus building can be kept cool.
Form of the building is evolved from the circula�on pa�ern followed by the vehicles coming to the restaurant. Most feasible circula�on pa�ern has been used and thus the building gets this form.
Inclined walls prevent the entry of direct sun rays, only reflected rays will be allowed, thus a lower temperature can be maintained inside the building when compared to exterior

CONCEPT In Pa�ent Zone Surgical Spaces Out Pa�ent Zone
Building is Zoned out clearly. The Out pa�ent zone is restricted to the forefront blocks of the building to minimised exposure to other blocks and to ease out the confusion. All the Surgery Spaces are restricted to the First Floor giving clear access only to the Doctors and Staff. The Third Floor is completely dedicated to the Out pa�ent zone
This par�cular type of composi�on restricts the circula�on of users into undesired areas

ERRUM MANZIL, HYDERABAD
The Louis I Kahn trophy 2016 involved the documentation of the 200 year old, Errum Manzil, the erstwhile home of the Qutb Shahi Nawabs. now, the R & B Building Headquarters.The focus of the competition was Buildings that have undergone Adaptations in change while keeping their values intact. It involved the analysis, documentation and capture of its construction techniques, planning principles, ornamentation elements, technological developments etc. The entry won the competition and was awarded Citation in the ANC 2016

MELUKOTE MEGHAPUSPA ADHARA
The Louis I Kahn Trophy 2017 involved the documentation of the 500 year old water system of the village of Melukote, Karnataka which is still functioning and the main source of water for the village. As the only source was rain, 108 ponds were built with connections such that no drop of water gets wasted. The system works on replenishing the ground water aquifers. The architecture of the structures around the ponds was based on the traditional and indeginous knowledge systems of the place. The entry won the national second place in the competition and was awarded Special Mention at ANC 2017
