BREXIT A FREE PORT OPPORTUNITY Mapping the frontier of Land, Sea & Sky

My final year MArch thesis looked into how Brexit would affect the North East region. Through extensive mapping research plotted into mapping software, the project led to creating a masterplan for the Port of Tyne that presented a solution to the crisis Brexit would present to the political, logistical and economic border of the UK.

port would need to expand their container cargo handling capacity by building more berths, gantry cranes and container storage with the accompanying bonded warehousing

and customs inspection areas. There could be a need to expand the enterprise zone to allow for building of distribution centres serving Scotland and Midlands.

BRE AKI N G

LIMBO R E S I L I E N T H Y P E R - L O C A L I S AT I O N T H R O U G H A G E N C Y

Set in the sleepy neighborhood of Šnipiškės (locally known as Shanghai), the broken village in the middle of the city sits in the looming shadows of the skyscrapers of Vilnius, Lithuania. The ever creeping developers are out at night using corrupted methods to scare the old fragile residents. Tonight, we fight back and tomorrow we plan for revolution.
