How does the thread lift works? • The thread is inserted into the pre-marked area and is oriented to oppose the gravitational pull which causes lines and sagging. • The number of threads depend upon the area of the treatment. • Thread lift procedure has dual aim: to lift the skin and create volume, and to stimulate collagen production for improving tone and elasticity of the skin. • The doctor inserts the thread into the skin to a depth of 3-5 mm; the thread by passes the epidermis, dermis, subcutaneous tissues, collagen, and reaches the fibroblasts. • The thread is then pushed in upward direction to exit the skin. • The thread is pulled taught from both ends so that the cones embed into the subcutaneous fat, lifting the skin and kick starting the inflammation process.
