When you purchase your machine from Quilt Beginnings, we are committed to helping you gain complete satisfaction through a comprehensive training program at no additional cost to you. You just need to pre-register to attend. Call the shop to get the list of upcoming sessions.
Once you have mastered the basics of your machine, there are plenty of creative classes to further your understanding!
OUR NEW OWNER’S TRAINING is scheduled by brand and by type of
machine. We will place you in the correct session when you register for your training. Bring your own machine, plus all its accessories and manual to class!

Learn basic maintenance and simple trouble-shooting, good threading practices, uses of utility and decorative stitches, how to make buttonholes and how to use the feet that come with your machine. Machines with memory systems and more advanced features will have a second session to cover those topics.
After gaining basic machine knowledge, you’ll be ready to explore machine embroidery. Topics include how to hoop, the use of different needles, threads and stabilizers, and how to load designs from your computer to your machine. You will also explore lettering plus combining and manipulating embroidery designs. Machines with more advanced features will require an additional session.
In these classes you will learn all the basics: threading, maintenance, and the best uses for various stitches and stitch combinations. Overlock stitches are covered in one session and coverhem stitches in a second.
SPECIALTY MACHINES: Long-arms, multi-needle, Sashiko and other specialty machines are scheduled oneon-one by appointment.

Kid’s Sewing Camp - JUNE 26 - 30 Designed for Kids aged 8-12
Develop the love of sewing with your 8-12 year old this summer by enrolling them in our week long sewing camp. During Sewing Camp, every camper will complete three projects, including a personalized pillowcase, a tote bag and a journal cover! Camp runs daily from 10am to 1pm, with snacks provided. Fee $149 (includes all fabric, sewing supplies and use of our sewing machines).
Teen Quilt Camp - JULY 31 - AUG 4 Designed for Teens aged 11-16
Entertain and educate your 11-16 year old this summer by enrolling them in our week long quilting camp. During Quilt Camp, every camper will complete their very own quilt, including the machine quilting & binding! Camp runs daily from 10am to 2pm. Each camper will pick out their own fabric the first day of camp. Bring a sack lunch daily. Fee $199 (includes all fabric, sewing supplies and use of our sewing machines).

MACHINE REPAIR We offer machine repair services for all makes and models. General servicing includes cleaning, oiling and timing adjustments. Estimates will be given for more serious problems or when parts need to be ordered.
REFUND POLICY We will gladly refund your money in full within 7 days of purchase if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase. No refunds will be given after 7 days. CLASS POLICIES Pre-registration is a must. Class fees are required to register. We consider your enrollment to be a commitment to our teachers, so please check class dates and your own calendar carefully before registering. Be sure to pick up the items on your supply list prior to class, so you can be prepared to start at once. When signing up for a class, please be aware the instructors are helping you learn a technique and/or how to put blocks of a quilt together. For most classes you will get a few blocks complete, not an entire quilt. CANCELLATION POLICY Many of our classes have wait lists. To receive store credit for any cancellation, we must be notified 72 hours in advance so we may offer your space to another student. Special Events require 1 week notice.
