THE SHAFT OF GOLFYOUR
Golf shaft flexibility has been taken into account by club manufacturers since the creation of the original golf clubs. The golf shaft transmits power to the club head, which then passes it on to the golf ball. Your choice of the shaft can either make or destroy your game because the shaft flex directly aids this power transfer.
The carry distance and trajectory of a well-hit shot will be constrained if your golf shaft is too stiff and your swing speed is too slow. A overly-stiff golf shaft will most frequently result in weak fades or slices. While a stiffer or more rigid shaft flex can help produce a straighter shot, the shot will be a low runner with no chance of stopping due to the lack of carry distance.
You can get wounded when you swing in windy and damp circumstances if your shaft flex is too weak. When you hit it with a weaker flex, the spin is so strong that the wind will amplify the spin and reduce your range and accuracy.
When the course is wet, this same spin will also have a detrimental impact on your game; a golf ball that flies too high may not travel as far or roll out because it may plug.
