STYLE & TREND by IRNITA R T PUTRI

12

Summer is about to begin. It is time to know what’s trending in Summer 2016. As the several brands have launched their summer collections, we would like to pick summer trends that might inspire you. You might have been familiar with these trends, most of them have returned from the other era. Here is the reference of fashion that helps you on the fashion track.

Illusion to the eye prints

Prints and loose dress fabric were predicted to be seen at every clothing store. This kind of festival dress has been produced for these several years. The reflection of pattern when meets any lights give the illusion of wave in the ocean. Also the blue colour makes the illusion becomes stronger. The material which made by silk, resulted chic impression when the wind flies the tail of the dress. Suitable to be worn with white pigalle heels and an envelope clutch, would be the best choice while doing an errand in the afternoon or having a cocktail party during this summer.

13

Hand Painted Denim It seemed that denim becomes more attracting for fashion designers and retailers. Inspired by the style at 80-90’s where denim was very popular at the disco era, nowadays, the version of denim becomes more varied. Started from torn until hand painted jeans have been filling up the street style. Kanye West has launched The Life of Pablo hand painted jacket in this March which gained successful sales. It can be seen that the design is tempting for shopper which mainly youngster. Followed by Kanye West successful sales, many designers and retailers also chose to launch denim painted jacket. The painted jacket is suitable for people who like to style in edgy streetwear.

14

Vehicle Prints It might be tacky to use automotive print for some people. Yet, Chanel never goes out of style. In the Cruise 17 fashion show, Chanel created more printed clothing which is painted by Cadillac car. This is not the first time that Chanel is inspired by vehicle prints, on the Spring Summer 16, they created airplane print in the most of their collection. It is suitable for you to go on summer vacation. This skirt is suitable to be matched with bare shoulder shirt, a mini sling bag and chic sandals. Making summer holiday ambience and giving more spaces which comfortable for strolling around. 15

Floral Trend Floral prints are expected will continue to be produced. Influenced by 70’s fashion trend, on the runaway of Gucci Spring/Summer 16 collection, floral prints are often to be seen. After that almost clothing line tend to invest more on floral pattern or embellishment designs. The effect of Gucci makes several retailers tend to follow the trends. Zara, Bershka, New Look and Stradivarius created the jacket with floral prints. Giving the vintage impression by the pastel colour makes this floral printed is estimated will be the “must-have’ product in this Summer.

16

Grey on Summer It is very rare that grey colour existed in summer season, it seems just wrong. Grey was expected to be appeared in the any fashion show. The dressmakers such as Céline, Carven and Emporio Armani launched several clothing using grey colour. It seemed so classic and safe. Stella McCartney firstly gave the sign of grey colour during her spring summer ’16 collection fashion show in London Fashion Week 2016. Especially in London, which has bipolar weather, grey colour would be a good choice to wear in cloudy day. However, this Céline dress will never be wrong to be combined with some orange and aqua blue accessories. Don’t let grey colour hide your summer passion.

1. Q: Orhan London has been a retailer for 29 years which has great achievement. So you are doing basically on control. A: Yes, basically. Everything is done on individual basis. So we don’t have 10/12 garments that you could not say can I have a navy in size 10 or size 12 ... and I make everything to you. Q:Your design sounds like far away from us unlike a daily wear. It has long distance with us. A : Ye a h , w h e n y o u s a y H C , everyone thinks it is a lady’s wear. It is not cheap because of the extensive labour But we do men suits as well for guys working in the office in the city. 22

2. Q: How long have you been involved in this industry? A: I started from I was 15. So my father was a tailor from Turkey before. And when I finished school, I wanted to be a footballer as most boys. He said,’don’t be silly. I ‘m gonna teach your job that you can do for the rest of your life.’ So when I left school, I started working with him in the factory in turkey. I really enjoy it, the best aspect of what we do is not just create garment for people which is fantastic because everyone feels really happy when they wearing them. But it is the people that we need, everyone that seems to come here has their own unique stories and they talk about it. And

because they come for fittings, you really need to understand them and how they lives are. Only when we understand the people, can we understand how we need to project what they are wearing, and colors, fabrics and other things like that. So it is a important part of the work, but the most pleasure part of the work as well.they come for fittings, you really need to understand them and how they lives are. Only when we understand the people, can we understand how we need to project what they are wearing, and colors, fabrics and other things like that. So it is a important part of the work, but the most pleasure part of the work as well.

3. Q:What’s your previous working experience before you launched this studio? A:Well, when I left school, my father was working at factory making garments after many years working together ]the man who owned the factory wanted to retire, so he offered it to my father, so my father bought it. We started to add own label. So after many years, My other 2 brothers didn’t have the passion for tailoring life like me. I am the only one left in the industry. And this place is too big to me to manage. I started working in a company on the German St. Then, I met my wife and start my own shop. 4. Q: It is really like a personal successful studio. A: It is hard in the beginning, but it gets easier. Since my friends came into the shop and you don’t have to spend to much on advertising. It is a really good

23

way to introduce the business to other people. 5. Q: So during your career, do you have some special piece of works that really impressed you in your life? A: When my father and I had a factory, we used to do designer wear for British designers. And although is was not our labels, we were working for other labels. We made a few items for princess Diana and we felt so excited. 6. Q: How much longer to finish one suit basically? A: Between 40-60 hours. It is quite slow because there was a lot of hand work. You have to get close to know more about the full structure. So you do the same time for 2 or 3 times and you feel absolutely happy with your creation. Then, you do stitches and do fittings to make sure that is suitable for your body.

the hard skills are more significant. A: I think in this industry, certificate doesn’t matter to much, because it is your technical skills what you can physically do or physically make is more important. So your personality and creation are more important. 10. Q: British Haute Couture is wellknown for its high quality in China even much more popular than some luxury brands. Why is that? A: I think because of the universities here. They are really good. We produce fantastic

7. Q: How about the price range? A: Depends on what fabric you choose, men suits are usually 750 pounds. If there is some expensive fabric like lace for wedding dress, the price is high. However, we have minimum price and some discounts for students. 8. Q: Do you have some suggestion about what is the most important quality to be a part of fashion industry? A: You have to enjoy it. Because there are long working hours with relatively low pay. However, you have to enjoy it. You meet so many people and make so many garments to make a lot of people happy cause you work for the people. 9. Q: How do you think about the soft skills such as attitude and your other personalities are not so important. And 24

Boonphisut Chateakcharoen 24, Fashion Photographer

“If you want to be expert in anything or you want to pursue your dream. You have to set the goal. Do your best today, stop thinking about your past and don’t overthink about your future. Just believe that one day you will catch your dream. Then, go for it.”

35

36

Can you tell us about yourself and how you got started in ‘fashion photography’? “Well, to be honest, I’ve never thought of being a photographer since 4 years ago. I actually wanted to be a doctor or a psychologist, but one day I felt bored. So I just stopped studying those kinds of things and turned myself into art. Two years later, I found out that photography was a kind of arts that I loved the most. I don’t like drawing or painting compared to taking photos. If everything is well prepared (model, styling and lighting), I will take only one shot to crate a perfect photo."

What projects have you done in the past? "I have done a lot of different types of work. I like some of them but not all. I like to do something related to subculture. I like to do monochrome but I also love colours. I used to do photoshoot for Dr. Marten Thailand. The brand is about Punk and Rock&Roll sub-culture which is my favorite style. I was very happy to collaborate with them. My photos appear on a lot of magazines such as, Vogue Italia online photobook, Pigeons and Peacocks UK, Elegant Magazine, and so on.” 37

What does ‘fashion photography’ mean to you? “Fashion photography is the most complicated type of photography. It is far more than passion in taking photos, it is also about business. Photographers are the one who bring art to life because photo is the only language that people all over the world can understand without saying any word.” What makes great fashion photography? “For me, it is quite simple. As long as you are happy with the photos, everyone who gets involved is also happy.”

38

What photographers from the past or present have influenced you the most? “I would say 3 names. Tim walker, Nick Knight, and Solve Sandsbo. They are all different in term of style, but all of their works are far more than beauty, they are amazing.” Between black and white vs colour play fashion photography, which one you prefer and why? “Actually, I love both. Although, black and white is so powerful, but if I have to choose one, I would go for colour. Colour is just so beautiful. Every colour has its own meaning and I just love to play with it.”

What are the biggest challenges of working in London? "I really like this question. London is one of the most fashionable cities that people all around the world keeps an eye on. The big challenge is that most of photographers here are so good. I have to make my works stand out to make me visible.” What projects are you working on now? “I am doing a portrait project with analogue camera. It feels like going back to basic again. I started photography in film generation and I still fall in love with it. Therefore, if I have time, I will take my analogue camera with me to take photos outside.”

Of all the projects you’ve made so far in your career, which is your favorite and why? “It is the latest work that I’ve done. It is a about surreal art. I like it because it let me wander around in my imagination. However, I didn’t have much opportunity to do this kind of fantasy work, so I was very happy to do it.”

The world’s premier online luxury fashion destination

1. Hi, how are you? What have you been up to? Great! I was so busy last week, lots of meeting. The discount season has begun in the UK. 1

2. What book did you read? Well, actually, it is embarrassing that I have no time to read a book in the past few weeks. When I arrived home, I just want to laying on the cozy sofa with an empty mind. But I do watch some Korea TV series for entertainment, and the name is Descendant of the Sun. Interviewee from

NET-A-PORTER Nane: Tong Song Age: 27 Interview date: 2016. July.

Author: Li Ranran 56

3. I know that NAT-A-PORTER begins to explore Chinese market, would you please share with us your opinions, as a Chinese, on its impacts on your work ? There is quite a few impacts on my work because we are doing a online luxury platform. Everyone is a peace of the giant. The only significant change is my advance, which is mainly because the Chinese cultural background has granted me a huge advantage in understanding customers, markets and competitors. Around 2012, I started communication with NET-APORTER Hong Kong department, all this city NET-A-PORTER going to is all cosmopolitan cities where were ready for an online luxury platform.

4. What are the different (some of the biggest differences) between selling your products locally in CHINA compared to in other international market? I think there are rare vital differences to many counties because luxury products and marketing are relatively independent from local environment. One of a few special is the size of Asian market (around 4 to 5 average) is smaller than the Westerns. 5. How did you get into this area? What is the attraction to you? I made luxury as my career because my major in college was fashion, London is a traditional fashion center in the world, where is much suitable for me to start my fashion career than in my hometown. So, I began to target jobs related to fashion world in London so that I could receive a work visa after graduation. Fortunately, my resume got favor of NET-APORTER though the first two dreaming works in London turned me down before. However, the chance of NET-APORTER was also precious for me. I am fond of the working ambience here in London. I will never let this job go since it was such a gold chance to pursue my ambition and dream in fashion world. 6. How did you get at "NAT-APORTER "internship? Actually, it is a long story. When I was a undergraduate student, my major was fashion communication. NET-APORTER is doing campus promotion

in our school then, I attended the recruitment promotion activity of NETA-PORTER and succeed in attracting interviewers there depending on my rich internship experiences, my major curriculum and previous participation in fashion-related activities. NET-APORTER attracted me since it always stays at the frontier of fashion and luxury world, where I can realize my dream, my ambition and pursue my success from steady personal advance. Although the internship was unpaid, I also selected NET-A-PORTER as my target company, which then, I successfully become a formal employee after internship. 7. Which story in your portfolio are you most proud of? I don’t know. Making a lots of money? Earning money by myself made me feel confidence, I really heat the feeling that all the money I spent is from my family support. 8. What do you think about the selling trend of 2017/2018 women wear? Which brand will be the hottest sale brand? Definitely GUCCI. Since they changed the designer, everything changed magically. Also ADDIDAS cross-over cooperation with other brands and top stars will also be sound in this season. Another brand that I have an eye on is Vetements (http://vetementswebsite.com ). Anyway, innovation and cooperation make the keywords in the future trend. 57

9.

Which brand gonna decrease the selling?

In my personal opinion, I think is KENZO, They repeated designs like one trick pony all the time. The stagnated innovation resulted in the lack of hottest and famous product, as Givenchy as well. But Givenchy is able to pass low tide depending on its brand reputation and large amount of loyal customer base. Both these brands might maintain or decrease the seals at the recent future. Also Thom brown, they probably can not maintain the product life cycle well and lose market share in the near future. 10. What have you learned from mistakes on the fashion job? I used to be depressed about mistakes at my job since the sacrifice of my mistakes could be huge. My work focuses on prediction of fashion trend based on comprehensive analysis of market data, brand report and long-term trend. Slight mistakes in data collection, investigation, process or interpretation may lead to flaws in prediction, resulting in a series wrong decisions about cost control, production amount, marketing investment and so on. The loss might be overwhelming so that doing this job I need to learn how to work under great pressure. 11. What challenges are you facing in your job area? The biggest challenge in my job area is how to keep sharp sensitivity about fashion trend in the future. Accurately capturing the trend in advance is critical for luxury and fashion brands to make decisions about designs, production, distribution, promotion and so on, which all determines strengths in fierce competition. 58

IMATS is the world’s biggest make-up exhibition which usually carried out in six big cities in the world, namely New York, London, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Toronto and Sydney. Basically, IMATS stands for International Make-up Artist Trade Show. IMATS firstly held in 1997 by the publisher of Make-Up Artist magazine and the makeup artist winner of Emmy Award, Michael Key in Los Angeles.

Here, I am going to report what’s inside IMATS London 2016 where many makeup artists, exhibitors and conscious are able to learn regarding beauty and art from industry leaders. IMATS London is often taken place at National Olympia Hall London in about three days. The first day is the make-up artist pro seminar and the last two days are opened for public.

In 2002, IMATS London was launched and gained significant success. Thus it encouraged the founder expanded the show to Toronto and Sydney at 2009, also IMATS Vancouver in the following year. Before, there were no particular make-up gathering and exhibition designed for make-up artist or enthusiast, even though several cosmetic companies have tried to organise for such events.

Saturday, 4rd June at the second day of IMATS, the pins of my watch pointed at 9.45 am, it was 15 minutes before the gate is opened. It is obvious the venue was filled up by many art and beauty conscious which mainly youth people. When I entered the hall, my eyes immediately saw major cosmetic brand pop stores in the centre of Olympia. There were MAC Pro, Bobbi Brown Make-up Pro, Makeup Forever Pro

make-up kit and accessories such as brushes. Moreover, many make-up schools joined in IMATS 2016. From the crowd I could see people looks’ were varied, started from neutral (basic) until the dramatic looks. Those who used the most intense make-up were the participants of the make-up competition. IMATS provides some features such make-up gallery and Battle of the Brushes makeup competition which allows international makeup students creating given themes during the exhibition. When I crossed some stores, I saw few make-up students were painting the models. I also saw a lot of people surrounded the models and aalsosking for photos. The process of body painting and make-up seemed long and complicated. I asked one of student from Cinema Make-up School about how long it takes to create the look of the character, she said “depends on the details that you’re going to present. We are not allowed to copy the exact look, but we must

improvise the look using our own visualisation. Usually I spend 2-3 hours to paint one model”. This year the theme of competition was Four Decade of Star Wars which presented in the main stage. There were two stages in IMATS, the main stage is used for talks from industry leaders and demonstrating the process of creating the prosthetic look. Whereas another stage is open forum stage where people able to ask some question. Today, the film maker Paul Davis created Beware The Moon, unveiled the making of the character looks in An American Werewolf in London. Together with Tom Hester, the crew from Rick Baker’s creature effects, they discussed about the classic film with Joe Nazzaro who is the contributor of Make-up Artist Magazine.

81

It was very interesting talk, audiences were able to acknowledge the details of producing films and creating the character in the movie. In the talk, it explained how to choose the correct materials and create the effects or illusion in order to have the wanted look. After the talk, I decided to stroll around the show. Looking for some pop-up store which some of them don’t have any physical store in London.

`Taken by : Irnita R T Putri

82

My trip was stopped by a store who owned by one of the most talented make-up artist, Zukreat Nazar. Zukreat has worked with many cosmetic companies, such Dior, Chanel, Lancôme, MAC Cosmetic and YSL. Also she has worked for several fashion magazine and involved in fashion shows such as, London Fashion Week. She has been an Youtube since five years ago, on her channel she shows the make-up step in depth. Let’s have a look our little chit-chat : Uh.. You know, fashion and makeup always go together. For example, on the runaway, the Hi Zukreat, how are you? make-up on models are used to support the clothing that they presented. And I think now I’m good, just busy with this stuff. You know, make-up and fashion are repeating the previous that running the business and doing makeup fashion trend, like from 80’s or 90’s, but they for people sometimes overwhelming. But, I’m have been evolved. You know, when designers pretty enjoying my job. There is nothing more creating the collection from previous time, interesting than making your hobby to be your people really wanted to go into the trend and own main job. started to find make-up looks which is matched with the fashion styles. Many of my clients I have seen so many times your asking me to do the looks from different eras v i d e o o n Yo u t u b e a n d b e e n but still look sophisticated. Also sometimes the wondering how long you’ve been make-up artist like me gets inspiration from the doing the make-up things? fashion runaway. For example, bold eyebrows. Before I think the thick eyebrows only happen Well, I’ve been doing make-up since I was about on runaway, but now many people like to have 16, it is approximately 19 years I think of makethis kind of eyebrows. I think fashion and makeup experience. Feels like I have been doing makeup are inspired each other. Both of them make up more than half my life. (giggles) us to be more creative.

What encourages you to be a professional make-up artist? And why? Basically, I have worked for a cosmetic counter at the central London, and I was doing makeup for customers that come in. Then slowly I built my confidence that way, then my friends asking me to do their makeup, started from special occasion to wedding makeup. I realised that I am quite able to do the make-up things. One day, I decided to do it personally and created my own website, so that people know my work. So, that is one thing naturally evolved into something else and I love it anyway, I consider myself as an artistic person. I find that doing make-up is an outlet for me to do art, so that is my creative outlet to do make-up for people’s faces.

I know that you work closely with fashion industry, what do you think about fashion and make-up nowadays?

Y ou have worked for many

fashion shows, can you tell me about your experience doing make-up for runaway? Doing make-up for fashion show is always interesting for me. (giggles) It is so hectic and busy, it feels like you had no spaces to work. Basically, the intensity in there was so high. So, I would say it’s not always glamorous if everybody thinks it is, like they see the pictures from magazine about behind the scene of fashion show. But, honestly, I like work for fashion show. Beside you now the latest collection of those designers, you could also expand your knowledge in terms of many job roles and it expand your network as well. There are many gorgeous people that you could know at the backstage. Yah, it’s amazing. (smiling).

You mentioned that you’re an artistic person, you always like to combine art and makeup. How could you implement the art into make-up look? Hmm.. Sometimes it’s just about letting out your imagination goes wild. For example, I take inspiration from beautiful things around me, like nature and scenery. Sometimes I create the makeup palette based on the colour of butterfly’s wing, sometimes I create the eye make-up from the colour of the sunset skies. I always explore my imagination as much as possible, but I don’t stick with the first idea. Basically, I try to develop the idea so that it turns into something unique. The main key is always develop your imagination.

84

Lastly, you know that more and more people are tr ying to do fashion and art things, do you have any tips for them?

I think, it’s quite difficult now, because I think everybody is trying to get into this industry, that makes it became more competitive. Maybe if you could do more than the next person, you could be different and become an outstanding person. Also being active is also a way to stand out. Because you know that this industry changes quite fast, if you could be an active person, you could successfully adapt yourself into this industry. But keep yourself to be realistic, you must carefully measure of the things you can achieve or not. Well, above those things work hard is always the key to achieve anything you want.

After having a small talk with Zukreat, the IMATS was about to close. It was great experience to attend this make-up gathering. You could learn the technique of prosthetic make-up immediately from the pro and able to meet amazing make-up artists from around the world. Also you can shop many cosmetic brands that you might have never known before. Don’t worry if you only bring your credit or debit card, most of stores accept payment by card. If you missed IMATS 2016, you could come to IMATS London next year. It usually happens in summer. The ticket can be bought at www. imats.net. So, keep your calendar update and visit IMATS!!

Victoria Miro has displayed an exhibition by Yayoi Kusama. Spanning the gallery’s three locations and waterside garden, the exhibition features new paintings-including her important, ongoing My Eternal Soul series and signature Infinity Nets-iconic pumpkin sculptures, and immersive mirror rooms, all conceived specially for this presentation. These new works reflect her lifelong preoccupation with the infinite and sublime, as well as the twin themes of cosmic infinity and personal obsession, as found in pattern and repetition. For Wharf Road she has created three mirror rooms: Chandelier of Grief, All the Eternal Love I Have for the pumpkins and Where the Lights in My Hearts Go.

Yayoi -kusama and the Japanese pop fashion style Pop art is more acceptable than other art or drawing in fashion industry and ready-to-wear section. The image of mickey mouse or the pumpkins are always suitable than classical paintings for making a shirt. Patterns are always a great choice to be applied on assortment of merchandise to fascinate teenagers. Since 1980s, Tokyo fashion culture has stormed fashion world in the entire Europe, which

was led by the fast spreading popularity of Japanese lifestyle through social media. Social media was superior than other communication channels, such as TV network, broadcasting or magazines, in interaction, penetration, resource efficiency and coverage, more importantly, in winning audiences’ trust. Depending on this channel, people in the west started to accept a vital different exotic style from very long distance places. Japanese pop fashion, as one of the popular culture from Japan, began to take its root in the center of fashion world. Imagination is one critical 103

media used by pop art to promote its artistic sense and communicating functions in advertising. The typical applications of imagination in product labeling and logos figure cover the labels of Campbell's Soup Cans by Andy Warhol (shown in Warhol's Campbell's Tomato Juice Box, 1964,pictured). This labeling opened a door to pop design that the labeling on the outside of a shipping box containing food items for retail could also be recognized as a subject matter in pop art. The pioneer, the most astonishing icon in pop fashion, Andy Warhol, has presented a large quantity of famous pop art, which influenced this field deeply. In Pop Art, the subject matter and techniques are wide-ranging, but the primary unifying aspect is a commentary on the popular culture. MONAVI has done a series pictures that brought pop fashion style to daily life by making a combination of pop art and Japanese fashion style’s women’s wear. The work of Yayoi Kusama has contributed to the development of pop art and influenced many other artists, including Andy Warhol. In the mid1960s, graphic designer Tadanori Yokoo became one of the most successful pop artist, which is still staying as an international symbol for Japanese pop art. He is well known for his signature works of pop culture icons, such as the Beatles, Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor etc. Another leading pop artist at that time was Keiichi Tanaami. Iconic characters from Japanese manga and anime had entered the world of pop art, such as Speed Racer and Astro Boy. Japanese manga and anime have became trend-leading field that continuously provide inspirations, phenomenal works as well as talents to the fashion world, such as Takashi Murakami and his super flat movement. 104

“Pumpkins have been a great comfort to me since my childhood; they speak to me of the joy of living. They are humble and amusing at the same time, and I have and always will celebrate them in my art.”

“the paintings are filled with an overflowing abundance of ideas that just keep bubbling up inside my mind. Everyone asks me where my inspiration comes from, but I just pick up the paint brush and follow my hand and the work just flows from me. Afterwards I give them poetic titles which are also filled with meaning for me.”

Advertising director producer Interested in history literature and idealist philosophy Buddhism believes that dependent arises from emptiness. Deeply agree.

1. How long have you been in London?

5. Do you have any plan about your job prospect?

A: I’ve been here for five years, from 2011.

A: I never make plans for myself. I just focus on my interests and my current job and when I meet good opportunities, I catch them.

2. Why do you choose to work in London? A: It was an occasional opportunity, I filmed products advertisements for getting some pocket money when I studied in university in London. And occasionally, my production was selected by an advertising company who gave me the job offer. I’m glad to stay in London and I’m happy to be a director here. 3. What’s your role in job? A: When I worked for GEO CAST advertising productions in my first two years in London, I was a director and filmmaker of commercial advertisements. After that, I came to my current company. I am the co-partner of the company and I am mainly responsible for operating cases and filming some videos. 4.How did you get your current job? A: It is my hobby and dream to make films. I didn’t to plan anything, just occasionally recognized my partner and we found that we had similar ideas about running a filming company. So we began to operate the company which mainly focus on filmic productions. 112

6. When did you first realize that you have talent in filmmaking? A: When I was a high school student, it was all about interests. I took a DVD and made a few videos myself. Because I was not rich at that time, I just learnt how to make movies myself instead of go to professional institute to learn it. I showed them to my friends in school and they really like them. Then when I became a university student, I had more knowledge than peers because I’ve learnt before. I once accompanied my friend to go to the exam of director. I became more and more confident because of the encouragement from my teacher, thus, I decided to continue learning to become a director. 7. Do you have any work experience before becoming a director? I used to be a photographer at Geo Cast, UK. I took jobs like commercial ads and shooting photos for fashion magazines. 8. Which one do you think is the most difficult par t during your working process?

Well, that would be creative planning. Because our company just started our business. At most of time, we need to plan the project by ourselves, this is the most difficult one. For example, we just received a task as shooting a MV for a new singer, we then had to create all the stories by ourselves. 9. Why did you change your job? Which one do you prefer? Because if I have to choose between photographer and director, I prefer to become a director, I’m interested in making movies and shooting MVs. However, as a matter of fact, my favorite subjects are History, Politics and Philosophy. I am a curious person, I really enjoy exploring the world. The second hobby is directing, but it seems like I’ve got more opportunities in directing rather than something associated with History, Politics and Philosophy. 10 . D o y o u h a v e a n y p r o j e c t recently?

We are preparing a MV for a new singer. At the current stage, we are looking for the actress and choosing the place for shooting the MV. Also, we are doing a Chinese variety show called Excellent Partner. 11. Could you tell me some works that you have done before? I took photos for many fashion magazines, like Vogue China, Eue. I also took photos for London fashion week, as well as landmarks in London, such as Selfridges, Harrods and Coven Garden. I sometimes make advertising videos for stars like Kwai Lun Mei, Jay Chou. Also, as I mentioned before, Excellent Partner. 12. Could you please tell me some related fields of fashion that you’ve involved? Actually, all of my works are related to fashion and art, for example, fashion magazines, fashion clothes and accessories, and stars. Author: Yingzi Zhao
