MEET THE 2022 BOARD OF DIRECTORS  We are so excited you are here! Should you have any questions or concerns about membership, please reach out individually via email to any of us, or to the board as a whole at board@tcppa.org.

WELCOME TO TCPPA We unite, elevate and educate professional photographers. Join for the education, stay for the fun! Welcome to the Twin Cities Professional Photographers Association (TCPPA)! We like to think of our members as family. It won't take long for your to see why our members love this group as much as they do! Becoming a member is the best business decision you've made this year. TCPPA is a non-profit organization run by volunteers and relies heavily on its members to keep the organization active and relevant in an ever-changing photography industry. TCPPA prides 4

All current TCPPA members must preregister for each regularly scheduled monthly event you wish to attend. Monthly events are included in your yearly membership dues. You may cancel your monthly event registration at any time. No refunds will be issued for scheduled monthly meetings members do not attend or cancel.

HOW TO PRE-REGISTER FOR MONTHLY EVENTS Visit tcppa.org/events. Select the event you'd like to register to attend. Within the event description, you'll find a button labeled "Register" - click and follow the prompts until you reach the confirmation page. You'll know that you've secured your seat when you receive a confirmation email.

IN-PERSON VS VIRTUAL: THINGS MAY CHANGE TCPPA may, at its sole discretion, choose to change the format of an in-person event to a virtual event due to unforeseen circumstances. In this case, TCPPA will notify you at the email address and/or telephone number provided at registration.

IN-PERSON EVENT CANCELLATION

TCPPA may, at its sole discretion, choose to cancel an IN-PERSON event due to unforeseen circumstances. In this case, we will notify you at the email address and/or telephone number provided at registration. TCPPA reserves the right to substitute alternative presenters due unforeseen circumstances.

VIRTUAL EVENT CANCELLATION (IF APPLICABLE)

Members do not receive any refunds for regularly scheduled monthly events (included in your TCPPA yearly membership dues) that you are unable to attend.

TCPPA reserves the right to substitute alternative presenters due to unforeseen circumstances. TCPPA is not required to issue refunds due to technology issues caused by a participant device/software, or due to connectivity issues on the part of the participant.

WORKSHOP INFO WORKSHOPS HOW TO REGISTER FOR WORKSHOPS

Register for the workshop like you would a regular event, and follow the prompts to enter payment information. (Reminder: workshops are NOT included with TCPPA annual membership dues!) You'll know that you've secured your seat when you receive a confirmation email.

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND A WORKSHOP YOU REGISTERED FOR If a workshop registration fee was paid, cancellations made by you more than 48 hours from the scheduled event start time will receive a full refund, less the processing fee. Last minute cancellations (less than 48 hours from the scheduled event start time) or no-shows are ineligible for refunds. Registrations are nontransferable.

WORKSHOP CANCELLATION

TCPPA may, at its sole discretion, choose to cancel a workshop due to low attendance or other unforeseen circumstances. In this case, we will notify you at the email address provided at registration. Refunds will be issued in full to those registered.

EVENT RECORDING PROHIBITED As an association, we are unable to record monthly events and workshops for member playback. Due to contractual restrictions with our guest speakers, attendees may not record and/or broadcast (Facetime, Zoom, Facebook Live, etc.) any TCPPA monthly scheduled event presentation (in-person or virtual) or workshop at any time. Please be respectful to the guest presenter and abide by this policy. In the event TCPPA is granted permission by the guest speaker to record a specific presentation, a notification will be given to all attendees.

COMMITTEES/TEAMS Education: This team is responsible for presenting future speaker suggestions to the board for approval. They are also responsible for negotiating contracts, getting speaker headshot, class info and marketing images. Submit merits for speakers/members as needed. Hosts our speakers when they visit via chauffeur, dinner, etc. Marketing: The Marketing Team is responsible for collecting content from committees, and pertinent information to communicate to members and distribution lists, and social media groups. Create simple ads for social media. Maintaining Facebook groups, Instagram, e-mail blast and publications to members for all important notifications. Membership & Hospitality: This is the team responsible for the growth and continued camaraderie of TCPPA membership. Reach out to potential photographers & photography students to speak to the benefits of TCPPA. Act as a host to new members and visiting guests. Must be personable and able to start conversations as well as make introductory calls/send e-mails. Coordinate promoting membership & hospitality information with Marketing Team. Help with front desk registrations/greeters on event days. Vendor Relations: The Vendor Committee is responsible for networking with vendors for membership and advertisement. Discuss the benefits of being a TCPPA Vendor such as exposure to 100+ photographers, advertising, presence at monthly meetings, social media banner advertisements, as well as social interaction with our group. Coordinate promoting vendor information with the Marketing Team.

Social Events: This committee is designed to create, organize and execute the events and social outings that TCPPA hosts. Past events included: The Prop & Swap Event, The Summer Shoot Out, Photo Walks and Holiday Party. Must be extremely organized, flexible and have attention to detail, thrifty with a small budget and able to work well with others. Engage members to attend social events. Coordinate promoting social events with the Marketing Team. Print Competition: This committee is responsible for the execution of the annual Print Competition. As a member you will prep images for print comp, work in front of and behind the scenes during print comp, assist with obtaining judges for print comp. This team is also responsible for setting up image submission through Printcomp. com. You will also coordinate promoting our print competition information with the Marketing Committee. Responsible for ordering all print comp awards, and any award presentation within the organization.

ABOUT TCPPA In 1984, the Twin Cities Professional Photographers Association (TCPPA) was born. TCPPA's main purpose is to educate members in the craft of professional photography by obtaining both national and local speakers on various topics to improve the skills in lighting techniques, equipment operation, posing, composition and graphic design. Our efforts as an association is to give our members the tools to create timeless images for their clients.
