From the debut of the Los Angeles Philharmonic with music director Gustavo Dudamel and jazz piano phenomenon Joey Alexander to the welcome returns of The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, Itzhak Perlman and David Sedaris among others, it is a collection of artists, thinkers and innovators that we believe is unmatched in our region. Pre-Performance Talk Free to all ticket holders, these half-hour talks and conversations with UC Davis faculty, local experts and visiting artists provide context for our audiences. Q&A Session After select Mondavi Center performances, artists return to the stage to take questions from the audience, providing a unique opportunity to share reactions and insights. Free pre-show performances in our Corin Courtyard (weather permitting). These outdoor Corin Courtyard Concerts start 90 minutes before performance time and last approximately one hour. Uncorked event, featuring complimentary wine pours for Inner Circle one hour prior to show time and during intermission in the donors Bartholomew Room. Documerica In 1971, the newly established Environmental Protection Agency launched Project Documerica, commissioning photographers to create a massive “snapshot” of America. Inspired by the massive archive of this tumultuous time, modern string quartet Ethel created Documerica, a multimedia project that interweaves stunning projections of more than 3,000 vintage photographs with newly commissioned contemporary music.
