MARKET WRAP After a lot of struggle, the market ended with severe losses. The Sensex slipped 266.44 points or 1.1 percent at 24020.98, and the Nifty ended down 89.05 points or 1.2 percent at 7298.20. About 856 shares have advanced, 1747 shares declined, and 119 shares are unchanged. Coal India, Tata Motors, Dr Reddy's Labs, TCS and Infosys were major losers while Lupin, Sun Pharma, NTPC, Bajaj Auto and ONGC were top gainers in the Sensex

STOCK UPDATE Dena Bank Slumps as Asset Quality Worsens in Q3 Dena Bank shares slumped as much as 8 per cent on Tuesday to Rs 32.65 after the state-run lender's asset quality worsened in the December quarter on the back of higher non-performing loans. Gross non-performing loans of Dena Bank as a percentage of total advances jumped sharply to 9.85 per cent in the third quarter compared to 6.84 per cent in September quarter. In the December quarter, its gross non-performing loans rose to Rs 7,916.47 crore, up from Rs 5,282.62 crore in the September quarter.

Narayana Hrudayalaya Rises on Turning Profitable in December Quarter Narayana Hrudayalaya shares advanced over 3 per cent on Tuesday after the company reported a profit in the December quarter.

Bangalore based Narayana Hrudayalaya, which runs a network of hospitals, on Monday posted net profit of Rs 3.7 crore on sales of Rs 396.55 crore. In the year ago period, the company had reported loss of Rs 14.09 crore on sales of Rs 340.11 crore.

This is Narayana Hrudayalaya's first quarterly earnings since the company got listed on the stock exchanges earlier this year in January.
