8. BREAKFAST AT SCHOOL A suggestion from students in 4thESO to raise money for their trips to Paris and Italy. By VĂctor Moreno

AT BREAKTIME Students in 4th of ESO make breakfast every Wednesday so that other students can buy something to eat. Usually the price is ‘’0'50€’’ or ‘’1€’’. They use this money to pay for their trips to Italy or Paris. Usually we can buy there: hot dogs, biscuits, pastries, juice, sandwiches ... Students in 4thESO are taking many benefits from this Wednesdays’ breakfasts because they will be able to leave on their trips without any problem. Victor Moreno

I’m going to explain what the students who went on the exchange trip did during their 3rd and 4th day in the UK. The students were two days carrying out the exchange visit with their penpals and on the third, fourth and fifth day they went to visit London. Here is a summary of the places they like the most in London.

Hyde Park They arrived at Hyde park by underground, and they stayed there for 45 min. They had fun exploring it. It had an enourmous lake, lots of forest, squirrels and even ducks!

National Gallery Museum They stayed at the museum for about 2/1:30 h. It was big and had lots of old and beautiful paitings but most of the students didn’t like it. Later, they had lunch in a Mcdonald’s near there.

Harrods They had troubles getting there because students under 15 years old couldn’t pass so they needed to stay near the teacher when they were inside. They spent there 30 min. It was very big and full of expensive things.

Natural History Museum They spent the afternoon there. The museum was huge so we stayed for about 3h. It had a lot of things to do. The students loved the dinosaur and the giants mammal areas, specially the giant T-Rex.

3. Our experience in London Hello everyone, my name is Alba MartĂnez and I'm going to explain how the teenagers feel when they go to a country with a family who doesn't speak the same language. We went to London in March and we went to different houses with families to learn more english. I think that the teenagers learn more English when they go to a country for a long time than in a class. Me and my friends had a really good experience with our families in London, they were really nice to us, and we learned a lot of new words. In many occasions, it was really funny because you didn't know how to say something in English but finally you found the words and they understood you. We saw a different life in London, and we learned not just English. We learned about how life is. Definitely I understand what my parents say when they say that I have to study really hard English, because it's the future. From my experience I would recommend the teenagers to travel somewhere you can practise English because you will learn a lot of things.

The interview Sara Aceña ●

A: How did it go in your trip to London? S: It was fantastic! We met really nice and kind people, and we saw the incredible Big Ben. A: What do you think about the trip? I mean, what did you expected from London, and what did you expected about the family and the language? S:I was a little bit nervous because I had never been to London before and I thought that the people wouldn't be nice to us. We met the students last year, but we didn't know how people from London were like. But definetely they were really kind to us. Our host family was incredible! We stayed in an enormous house, we spoke a lot of English, but the mother of the host family spoke Spanish, so if we didn't know something, she helped us.

A: Would you recommend this trip to someone? S: Definitely, yes. I would recommend this trip because I learned a lot of words that I didn't know. I hope to go London soon because it was an amazing trip and now we have friends in London that we met last year in Montgat, so seeing them again was fantastic! I love London and I recommend this trip to EVERYONE because maybe you will found yourself in London.. Who knows? Bye bye.
