-4What is known and what is unknown?
This project reveals a dual situation of front and back side or ‘what we see’ and ‘what we don’t see’. It is a geometrical exercise where all the blind spots are drawn out and extracted from a situational site leaving a potential for imagination. Narrative is being adapted to this spatial situation. It represents my interpretation and atmospheric depictions of a space that was created.

SHADOW OF OCCLUSION. A STORY ABOUT SPACE Protagonist – she as an observer of spatial situation. There is no day or night here or at least she could not tell the difference. She spent days observing this from above, but light have never changed. She could spin around it or get closer but never step a foot in it. She was unable to inhabit this space and remained an observer. While doing loops around she got familiar with this situation and its inhabitants. She was there but her presence was never noticed.

CHAPTER 1 - VOIDS Landscape here is punctured with voids. Inhabitants are hiding them behind and balancing on its edges. Only from one point these voids cannot be seen – and she knew the location. Observer wondered that if this specific point would be a light source, and ground surface would be flat these voids would become shadows. Walls and ground of voids are loudest places here. She got closer. Soft cylinders were closely arrayed to each other as they were constantly rotating and making a disturbing noise – probably to alert everyone not to fall.

Many inhabitants do try to avoid being close to these voids, even losing their parts and bits to get further away but there are some that do not get affected - basically because of being too small. Wires extend themselves and fold around disappearing into the dense rows of cylinders. They fit perfectly in between two and sometimes she could notice them running vertically in between them.

CHAPTER 2 - STRANGENESS Observer was able to name some inhabitants. But there are some that is impossible to identify as they look like something that she never seen before. They are very stable, and calm however usually annoyed by the stones that are jumping around and might affect their stability.

Some however are too fragile therefore they do have a light column or two to support them otherwise their existence would not be impossible. Back side of these strange objects are repeating the character of the walls of the voids. Why, she was not sure, but probably because they are trying to blend in.

CHAPTER 3 – STONES AND GAPS She was overwhelmed by wavy floor. Observer could look closer to the gaps between walls and wavy floor however she could not see what was in these dark spots. Her curiosity reached the limit and she moved back.

She felt calm here whereas inhabitants were disturbed by stones. They are the fastest beings here freely jumping from one surface to another. Opposite like all the others they are attracted by lower levels. She always saw them trying to get there but she was unable to know what was there.
