More Butterfly Classroom Fun This week we talked about fall. We made fall wreaths, fall corn with cheerios, scarecrows and fall leaves with fall colored construction paper. The children also enjoyed expanding their vocabulary by telling what they saw in a picture they chose from a magazine. We also practiced simple adding this week during circle time. Next weeks theme is fire safety. What a fun week it will be. The fire truck will visit on Wednesday October 12 in the morning. We will also have a fun field trip to McDonald's on Thursday October 13 for lunch. Have a great weekend!!

Caterpillar Classroom News The caterpillars had fun this week exploring apples.
On Monday, we listened to the story about "a little red house" and discovered that apples, “little red houses" have stars on the inside! We took a nature walk through the park and found an apple tree but discovered that bees like apples as well! We found oatmeal, pans and scoopers in our sensory table and pretended to make apple pies! For art, we printed with apples and paint. We made an apple tree, and sorted the red, yellow and green fruit loops to use as the apples! We created fizzy apples with baking soda and citric acid. We tasted Carmel apples and used puffy paint and confetti to make our own Carmel apple art! On Friday, we baked apple donuts for a party for Ms. Taylor. We will miss her but welcome Ms. Roberta into our room. Next week we will discuss community helpers and will have a visit from the firefighters and their trucks on Wednesday!
