Playing in the Montana-Wyoming All-Star games. My dad was my coach and my sister was on staff. That just kind of wrapped up my high school career, finishing it with my family. Basketball has always been about family for me. My teammates become my family, and my family has done it ever since I was walking. That experience made me realize how much I love basketball.

My junior year of high school, playing against a team in our league and scoring 49 points. I remember working my hardest on my shot that year and my dad kept telling me that it will click one day, and it finally did for me that game. It was this feeling that everything I put up would go in. My favorite basketball memory would have to be working out and shoo ng with my dad every day. From eighth grade to senior year, it was a good five years. One of my favorite moments would be when my dad challenged me to a 3-point shoot-off. We had a minute to make as many threes as possible. He went first and I remember him saying, “Got to put the heat on them.” He ended up only missing a couple shots and had 15 makes. I thought to myself, I got him easy. I started off missing a couple, then I finally got a hot hand. I finished with 16! Those kinds of moments with my dad in the gym are the ones I will cherish for a life me.

My favorite memory was playing a game my brother and I made up when we were kids. We called it “bounce.” We would go out in the front yard every day a er school and play it un l it was too dark to see the hoop. My favorite basketball memory is the divisional championship game my senior year. It was the usual Malta-Fairfield matchup and the en re gym was packed with so many fans. We had been down most of the game and with 16 seconds le we took the lead and ended up winning. That was the loudest I think I have ever heard a gym in my life. It was just a super clima c comeback and it was fun to get a great win with my teammates and senior class. My best basketball memories are probably all of the summer a ernoons when we were living in Coeur d’Alene, when my brother, dad and I would play PIG in our driveway. Just messing around playing basketball with my family and being compe ve was a big part of the reason I came to love the sport. I also loved playing in all the Hoopfest 3on3 tournaments with my friends and ge ng to meet and play against a bunch of new people.
