GRIZ REDEMPTION TOUR STARTS AT SOUTHERN UTAH In the midst of the program’s first three-game slide since 1992, the Montana Grizzlies hit the road to redemption this week, looking to put together a complete four-quarter performance against the Southern Utah Thunderbirds. The Griz (4-4, 2-3 BSC) travel to Cedar City, Utah, for just the second time in school history on Saturday, looking to dethrone the defending Big Sky Champion T-Birds (1-7, 1-4 BSC) and right the ship on a season that has seen championship-caliber flashes but has suffered from inconsistency. “I can’t believe I’m saying this, but for the third time this year we took the lead into the fourth quarter and didn’t hold on,” said UM head coach Bobby Hauck in reference to a second-half surge by #6 UC Davis that led the Aggies past the Griz 49-21 last week. Despite a lopsided overall record, the Thunderbirds enter the game with one of the top rushing attacks in the league and an offense that has averaged over 460 yards and 28 points per game this season. Led by an All-Big Sky offensive line, the T-Birds rushing attack is centered around running back Jay Green and features a Wildcat look centered around one of three of three quarterbacks that could each see the field against the Griz. As 2017 co-conference champions, SUU has also built a culture of winning of the last under third-year head coach Demario Warren. Warren was named AFCA Region 5 Coach of the Year and Big Sky co-Coach of the Year last season after he led the T-Birds to the FCS playoffs with a 9-3 record. “We’ve got an opponent that’s been really, really good the last few years. They do a lot of things well, they run the ball well to the point where we have to account for a lot of different personnel groups and formations,” said Hauck. “We’ve got our hands full with them.” But the Grizzlies are also turning the focus inward this week. Montana has suffered four turnovers in each of the three games while trying to work its way through a slump in the game plan. This week, Hauck is looking to keep the pedal down for four quarters. “We’ve just got to make plays. We’re not making plays on either side of the ball. Certainly, it’s not an effort deal, so, we just need to play a little better in the fourth quarter,” said Hauck. THE GAME: Montana embarks on a two-game road stretch seeking a return to the top-25 and the top of the Big Sky table. Both UM and SUU are currently on the outside of the FCS playoffs looking in, with the Griz sitting in a tie for sixth the league standings and the T-Birds at 12th. With a late-season win streak, the Grizzlies can make a case for post-season play, however, and will get the chance to dethrone the defending league champs and pick up a pair of consecutive rivalry wins to close the season.

The Audience Network is also part of DirecTV’s streaming service, DirecTV Now (available in limited areas, and compatible equipment necessary). No standard web stream (GoGriz.com, PlutoTV, or WatchBigSky.com) of the game is available for games broadcast on ROOT Sports. Veteran broadcaster Tom Glasgow will provide the play-by-play call, with Taylor Barton serving as analyst and Jen Mueller reporting from the Sidelines. LISTEN: “Voice of the Griz” Riley Corcoran and Greg Sundberg will bring you the action live from Cedar City on the Grizzly Sports Radio Network. Fans from Polson to Plentywood can tune in to hear the live call on one of 15 radio stations statewide. You can also hear a digital stream of the game live worldwide via GoGriz.com/listen or via the TuneIn app on your computer or smartphone. RANKINGS: Montana remains out of the STATS FCS media top-25 and the AFCA Coaches’ top-25 this week. The Big Sky’s Weber State Wildcats (#4/5), EWU Eagles (#5/4), and UC Davis Aggies (#6/9) dominate the top-10, while North Dakota stays afloat at No. 25 in the Coaches’ poll. SERIES HISTORY: Montana leads the all-time series against Southern Utah 6-2, and 2-0 since the T-Birds joined the Big Sky in 2013. The only meeting between the two in Cedar City came in 2014, where running back Jordan Canada rushed for a career-high 211 yards in a 35-15 win for the Griz. LAST MEETING: Senior quarterback Brady Gustafson passed for four touchdowns, and the Montana offense racked up 600 total yards as the No. 11 Grizzlies trounced a highly-rated SUU team 43-20 in 2016 on homecoming at Washington-Grizzly Stadium. One game removed from his school-record 21 pass receptions at Cal Poly, Jerry Louie-McGee caught nine passes for a game-high 118 yards to lead UM, while Jeremy Calhoun led UM with 90 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns. Both return as starters for the Grizzlies this week at SUU. GRIZ TRACKS TURNOVERS: Ball possession will once again be at the forefront of Bobby Hauck’s mind this week after turnovers continued to plague the Griz against UC Davis. So far this season the Griz have given the ball away 18 times (7 interceptions, 11 fumbles), with opponents capitalizing for 82 combined points. Montana is tied with Northern Arizona with a -4 turnover margin, the No. 10 ranked total in the league. The T-Birds, however, have not fared much better in ball control. SUU enters Saturday’s contest with a -3 turnover margin and 12 total giveaways. YOUTH MOVEMENT: With a somewhat shuffled two-deep this week, Montana’s young lineup will once again be put to the test as the Grizzlies project to suit up 27 underclassmen. The offensive side of the ball is especially young, with 14 underclassmen filling one of 22 possible slots on the two-deep, with nine of those 14 listed as freshmen. The defense features a similarly young 13 underclassmen (6 freshmen) on its 22-man two-deep. TRENDING UP DANTE’S INFERNO: Your weekly Dante Olson update sees the junior linebacker rise to 119 tackles this season. At an average of 14.9 per-game, Olson leads not only FCS football in tackles but FBS and D-II as well. The Medford, Ore., native currently has 119 total tackles on the season and needs just 12 more this year to become UM’s all-time leading single-season tacker, surpassing legends like Colt Anderson, Tim Hauck, and Kendrick Van Ackeren. Olson also ranks second in the Big Sky in sacks and third in TFLs. BUSS’ STOPS: Buchanan Award Candidate and preseason Big Sky Defensive Player of the Year Josh Buss will make his 30th career start at Southern Utah this week. The Boise native passed former Buchanan Award Finalist Trey Young this week on UM’s all-time tackle list, and with 253 career takedowns, needs just five more to pass current Griz assistant Shann Shillinger.

In his three remaining regular-season games as a Grizzly, Buss needs just two more tackles for loss to move to No. 4 on UM’s all-time TFL leader list. He currently sits at 43.5 career TFLs behind Andy Petek’s 44, Mike Murphy (44.5) and Kroy Biermann (45). Zack Wagenmann is the Grizzlies’ all-time TFL leader with 53. Buss also needs just three more sacks this season to become one of UM’s top-10 sack leaders as well. Punter Eric Williams is also slated to make his 30th career start for the Griz this week.

TWIN TOWERS: Twin brothers and Grizzly freshmen Bryson and Braydon Deming each made a big impact for the Griz against UC Davis. Tight end Bryson Deming set a new career-high with 60 receiving yards thanks to a big 45-yard reception in the second quarter that put UM in scoring position.

The Broken Arrow, Okla., native is UM’s leading receiver this year and ranks No. 6 in the Big Sky in receptions per game, averaging 5.2. At an average of 64.1 yards per game, he ranks No. 10 in the league and No. 7 in scoring by TD with a total of 48 points this season. SCOUTING THE T-BIRDS BRUTAL SCHEDULE: It’s no surprise to see the T-Birds at 1-7 on the season after taking a glance at their schedule, undoubtedly one of the toughest in the Big Sky Conference this year. SUU opened the season with an upset loss against a talented North Alabama team that is in its first year of FCS football after moving up after decades as a D-II powerhouse. The Lions stunned the T-Birds on opening weekend, and have since gone on to build a 5-3 record, with one of the losses coming at North Dakota State (38-7), holding the Bison to their fourth-lowest scoring total of the season. SUU then went on the road for a four-game stretch that saw them drop games at the Pac-12’s Oregon State & Arizona, followed by an always-dangerous trip to Northern Arizona, and a trip to Cheney to take on the nationally ranked EWU Eagles. DECORATED RETURNERS: The T-Birds return four Big Sky all-conference players from a year ago and feature five preseason all-conference picks as well. Center Zach Larsen (6-1, 305) leads an experienced offensive line as a first-team All-Big Sky pick and was named to the STATS FCS Preseason All-America team in the leadup to his junior year. Guard PJ Nu’usa (5-11, 304) and tackle Marquez Tucker (6-4, 291) are also returning All-Big Sky picks that pave the way for a T-Bird rushing attack that is averaging over 211 yards per game – the fourth-best ground game in the Big Sky. Inside linebacker Chinedu Ahanonu already holds the Big Sky record for most tackles in a single game (28) and leads the team in tackles again in 2018 (65) as a second team all-conference performer in 2017 and a preseason All-Big Sky pick this season. The LDS missionary played two years at SUU in 2013 and 2014 before traveling overseas and returning for the 2017 season. But Ahanonu’s experience hasn’t led to solid defensive numbers for the T-Birds, with SUU coming in dead last in scoring defense, allowing opponents to score an average of 41.2 points and rack up over 546 yards per game. UP NEXT: The Griz remain on the road for a rivalry clash with the Idaho Vandals in Moscow, who return to the Big Sky this season for the first time since 1995. The Little Brown Stein will be up for grabs, a trophy the Griz have held since 2003 when the two teams last met – a 41-28 win for the Griz.

2018 GRIZ SEASON NOTES OH CAPTAINS MY CAPTAINS: At the end of fall camp, the Grizzlies elected team captains for the season, voting two offensive and two defensive players into leadership positions on the team. Seniors Keenan Curran and Reggie Tilleman were voted captains, and also represented the team at the Big Sky’s annual media days in Spokane over the summer. The league’s preseason Defensive Player of the Year Josh Buss was also named captain, along with junior quarterback Dalton Sneed. PACKED HOUSE: Montana once again led the FCS in attendance in 2017, averaging 23,535 fans over the course of six home games. It’s the fourth-straight season the Grizzlies have has the most fans per-game in the FCS, and the seventh time in the last 11 years. ON SCHOLARSHIP: Coach Hauck made the dream of being a scholarship student-athlete come true for two Grizzlies during fall camp. Junior center Cody Meyer and senior D-tackle Kyle Davis were rewarded for their years of hard work with a pair of scholarships, much to the adoration of their fellow teammates. LIGHT UP THE NIGHT: Montana improved to 7-2 all-time under the lights at Washington-Grizzly Stadium. HAWKEYE HEAVEN: Montana is now 7-2 in program history against teams from the state of Iowa. The Griz moved to 6-0 all-time against UNI, and have two losses to the Iowa Hawkeyes. After beating Drake (Des Moines, Iowa), the Griz moved to 7-2.
Getting their first starts on offense were: quarterback Dalton Sneed, receiver Samori Toure, tight end Colin Bingham, tailback Adam Eastwood, tackle Conlan Beaver, center Cody Meyer, guard Dylan Eickmeyer, and tackle Colton Keintz. Dante Olson, RJ Nelson, Reggie Tilleman, Robby Hauck and Gavin Robertson ran out for the first time as starters on the defense. RARE RETURNS Freshman returner Malik Flowers sparked a Montana rally at Western Illinois with a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. The last time a Grizzly returned a kickoff? 2013, when Ellis Henderson ran one back 98 yards against South Dakota Western Illinois’ Steve McShane returned a punt 58 yards for a score against UM. The last player to return a punt for a touchdown was Washington’s Dante Pettis, who brought back a kick 67-yards for a score, and went on to be selected in the 2nd round of the NFL Draft.

CURRAN AT QB: Senior receiver Keenan Curran dusted off his high school quarterbacking abilities against UNI, completing the first pass of his collegiate career, a 25-yard dart to tight end Colin Bingham on a double-pass play from Dalton Sneed. In case you’re wondering… One pass for one 25-yard touchdown gives Curran a QB efficiency rating of 640.00. SEC! SEC!: Senior safety Reid Miller, a transfer from the SEC’s Arkansas Razorbacks, was Montana’s second-leading tackler against UNI, totaling nine takedowns and adding a pass breakup. His nine tackles against the Panthers equaled the amount of tackles he had during the entire 2017 season with the Razorbacks. FRESH STARTS: A total of 13 Grizzlies picked up their first start in maroon and silver against Northern Iowa on Sept. 1, breaking in a youthful team that, for (likely) the first time in program history, had more freshman (5) than seniors (4) starting.
GRIZ FOOTBALL 2018
MISSISSIPPI MUD: Since the turn of the century, the Montana Grizzlies have only ventured across the Mississippi River seven times, holding a 3-4 record against teams from that side of “Old Man River.” Two of those games (at Maine in 2003, and at James Madison in 2008) were played during Hauck’s first tenure at UM and were both Grizzly wins. The Griz also defeated Hofstra in New York in 2002, but lost at Tennessee in 2011, at Appalachian State in 2012, and at Liberty in 2015. Montana lost at Western Illinois - just 50 miles east of the Mississippi - for the second time in program history on Sept. 15 to move to 3-4. N*A*S*H: Sophomore cornerback Dareon Nash had the best game of his career to-date against Drake with three tackles, a pass breakup, a fumble recovery, and a pair of interceptions – one of which he returned 40 yards for the first pick-six of his career. The last Grizzly to pick-off two or more passes in a game was Justin Strong, who had three INTs and a touchdown against Portland State in 2017. DANTE’S INFERNO: On Week 1, Dante Olson hit a peak as the ROOT Sports Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week. After a huge game against Drake on Week 2 where the junior logged 16 tackles, two sacks, 3.5 TFLs a forced fumble and a pass breakup, Olson caught fire. Not only was he named Big Sky Player of the Week for a second-straight week, he was also named the STATS FCS national Defensive Player of the Week as well. It’s worth noting: Olson won two-straight Player of the Week honors after making his first two starts as a Grizzly. JERRY’S WORLD: In 2016, Jerry Louie-McGee shattered the school record for receptions in a game with 21 at Cal Poly. Against Drake, Louie-McGee was two catches away from breaking Josh Paffhausen’s 1997 record of 15 catches for the second time in his career with 14 receptions on the day for 133 yards.

The only other two receivers to catch 14 passes in a game werer Joe Douglass against EWU and MSU in 1996, and Mike Trevathan in 1990 against Idaho. HOME SWEET HOME: Montana celebrated its 200th win inside the friendly confines of Washington-Grizzly Stadium against Sac. State. With the win, UM’s record improved to 200-30 record at home since the facility was built in 1986, an 86.9 win percentage.

2018 GRIZ SEASON NOTES LEGEND OF THE FALL: The University of Montana and The National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame honored 2018 Hall of Fame electee Dave Dickenson with an On-Campus Salute, presented by Fidelity Investments at the home game against Sac State on Sept. 22. The Grizzlies honored Dave by wearing their throwback copper and gold uniforms, and limited-edition copper and gold apparel with his retired number 15 on it were made available to mark the occasion. Dickenson will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the gear that bears his name to a Grizzly football scholarship. IT’S STILL A BIG DEAL: Just how significant is Dickenson’s induction into the Hall of Fame? Consider: Only 997 players and 217 coaches have been inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame (Including the 2018 class) from the nearly 5.33 million people who have played or coached the game over the past 149 years.
In addition to Olson’s 24, Robby Hauck (17), Josh Sandry (10), Gavin Robertson (10), Jace Lewis (9) and Justin Calhoun (9 – 8 solo) set a new personal best tackle totals against the Mustangs. Eastwood’c career day at Cal Poly was highlighted by an untouched 68-yard TD burst up the middle, etching his name in the UM record books with one of the longest scoring runs in program history. That TD run is tied at No. 18 for the longest in UM history with Rock Svennungsen, who had a 68-yarder against South Dakota in 1973.
Dickenson is only the second player from Montana to enter the Hall of Fame behind Bill Kelly in the early part of the century and is the only FCS/D1-AA player to be inducted in the class of 2018.
Freshman safety Robby Hauck (Tim’s nephew and coach Hauck’s son) is quickly catching up to his uncle, however.
SWATTING THE HORNETS: Montana ex-
tended its unbeaten streak at home against Sac State to 12-straight games. UM has never lost to the Hornets in Missoula, and is now 20-1 all-time against them. HOMECOMING HUSTLE: Montana hosted it’s 99th homecoming football game against Portland State, falling to 65-33-1 all time and 29-4 inside Washington-Grizzly Stadium after the loss. MILESTONES: Other than Sneed’s 206-yard day against Sac State, Adam Eastwood became the first Griz to rush for over 100 yards since Makena Simis did it against NAU in 2017 when he galloped for a career-high 135 against the Cal Poly Mustangs. Josh Buss scored the first touchdown of his career with an 80-yard fumble recovery – ruled as such because it bounced into his hands off a backward pass - at Cal Poly. The last Grizzly to score on a fumble recovery? Donald Bedell jumped on a loose ball in the end zone for a 0-yard return for a score against Mississippi Valley State in 2016. TRENDING UP: Ten different Grizzlies set or tied a career high at Cal Poly, and as one would imagine against a triple-option offense, most of them were new career high tackle totals.
Freshman Marcus Welnel got in on a special teams highlight against the Hawks, blocking a UND punt. The last Grizzly to block a punt? The ever-present Dante Olson against Northern Colorado in 2017. Cornerback Dareon Nash posted a career-high six tackles against UND. He then turned around and set a new career high against UC Davis with 8 tackles.
On the other side of those passes was sophomore receiver Sammy Akem, who had a personal best 93 yards, setting a new personal long TD reception with a 54-yard score. HAUCK A RICE AWARD CANDIDATE: Tim Hauck remains UM’s second all-time leading tackler (tied with Colt Anderson) with 129 takedowns in a season and 305 on his career.
NEW QB RECORD: Sneed set a new record for the most rushing yards by a QB in program history against Sac State and moved into a tie for 11th for the longest TD run in UM history with a 75-yard score. The longest TD run in UM history? Jon Nguyen’s 81 yards, which he set against the same Sac State Hornets in 2016.
QUICK HITS: Once a prolific receiver for the Griz, Justin Calhoun nabbed his first career interception since moving over to the defense at North Dakota.
Dalton Sneed set a new career high with his feet against Sac State, then set a new personal best with his arm against Cal Poly with 285 yards in the air and three passing touchdowns.
In other words, less than two one-hundredths of a percent (.02%) of those who have set foot on the gridiron have earned the distinction.
BEST START POSSIBLE?: True freshman Gabe Sulser from Billings took an jet sweep 53 yards to the house against Sac State to score on his FIRST-EVER TOUCH OF THE BALL IN A COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAME.
GRIZ FOOTBALL 2018
As one of the top tacklers in the Big Sky and one of only three freshman to rank among the top tacklers in the nation, Hauck was named to the STATS FCS Jerry Rice Award Watch List on Oct. 11 - the award presented to the nation’s top freshman performer. Hauck is the third Grizzly in as many years to become a candidate for the award. After breaking a school record for catches in a game, Jerry Louie-McGee was named to the Rice Award watch list and finished seventh in the final vote. Former quarterback Gresch Jensen finished third in the 2017 voting. Hauck is now the second-leading tackler on the team behind Dante Olson - who just happens to be the No. 1 tackler in the entire nation, at any level. Following his career-high game at Cal Poly where he became the only freshman in FCS football to get in on 17 or more tackles this season, Hauck was given an honorable mention for the STATS FCS Freshman Player of the Week. Now he’s in the mix for Freshman of the Year honors. 100 YARD DASH Despite the loss at UND, Montana produced two 100-yard receivers for the first time since 2016 when James Hohman and Justin Calhoun each caught passes for 133 yards at Northern Arizona, also a loss for UM. Samori Toure was seven yards shy of setting a new career high with 105 receiving yards against the Hawks, while Samuel Akem set a new personal best with 124 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Akem, caught two touchdowns and led all receivers with 124 yards agains the Hawsk, then, the second game of the year where he had caught two touchdown passes. FLOWERS POWER: Despite North Dakota not kicking a single ball toward return specialist Malik Flowers, the freshman is still ranked as the No. 1 kick returner in the Big Sky, and is now ranked No. 5 in the nation with 485 return yards this season.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME
DICKENSON TO BE INDUCTED INTO COLLEGE FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME National Champ i o n All-Ameri c a n . Walter Payton Award W i n n e r. Grizzly Sports Hall of Famer. Grey Cup Champion. CFL MVP. CFL Hall of Famer. CFL Coach of the Year. Montana football great Dave Dickenson has earned many accolades in his illustrious collegiate and professional career, but perhaps none as prestigious as this. In January, the National Football Foundation (NFF) announced that Dickenson will be immortalized as one of the greatest college football players - at any level - of all time as a member of the College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2018. On Sept. 22, Dickenson and his family return to Missoula to celebrate this incredible honor alongside NFF Chief Operating Officer Matthew Sign, NFF Board Member Jon Taylor and CJ Olsen of NFF partner Fidelity Investments. “Super Dave” was honored with an on-field salute between the first and second quarter. Dickenson will be inducted into the Hall of Fame alongside nine other legendary players and three coaches at the NFF Annual Awards Dinner on Dec. 4 in New York City. Their accomplishments will also be enshrined at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta. “I am very honored and excited to be included in the Hall of Fame,” said Dickenson. “We did some special things at Montana. To be able to represent our program, Don Read and the coaches, our school, and our city, means a lot to me. More than anything though, it means a lot to be able to represent the state of Montana.”
97), Texas (1998-2013), Mel Tjeerdsma – 24282-4 (74.4%); Austin College [Texas] (1984-93), Northwest Missouri State (1994-2010). The inductees were selected from a national ballot of 75 All-America players and six elite coaches from the Football Bowl Subdivision and 98 players and 31 coaches from the divisional ranks. Dickenson is only the second player ever from the state of Montana to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. The other: Grizzly great William “Wild Bill” Kelly who was inducted in 1969. He is also the only player from the FCS to be inducted in 2018. Including the 2018 Hall of Fame class, only 997 players and 217 coaches have been inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame from the nearly 5.26 million who have played or coached the game during the past 149 years. Meaning fewer than two one-hundredths of a percent (.02%) of the individuals who have played the game have been deemed worthy of this distinction. “Being inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame is such an amazing and well-deserved achievement for Dave,” said Montana Director of Athletics Kent Haslam. “He is a great representative of the University of Montana and the Grizzly football program. He was the definition of a student-athlete during his years here at UM, and we could not be more proud of him and his accomplishments.” The announcement of the 2018 Class was made in January live on ESPN’s SportsCenter in Atlanta, the site of the College Football Playoff (CFP) National Championship. “We are extremely proud to announce the 2018 College Football Hall of Fame Class,” said Archie Manning, NFF Chairman and a 1989 Col-
lege Football Hall of Famer in an NFF statement. “Each of these men has established himself among the absolute best to have ever played or coached the game, and we look forward to immortalizing their incredible accomplishments.” The 2018 College Football Hall of Fame Class will be officially inducted at the 61st NFF Annual Awards Dinner on Dec. 4, 2018, at the New York Hilton Midtown. The inductees will also be recognized at their respective collegiate institutions with NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salutes, presented by Fidelity Investments, during the fall. A Montana football legend and two-time First Team All-American, Dave Dickenson remains the Grizzlies’ all-time leading passer and still holds 28 other school records. The recipient of the 1995 Walter Payton Award as the top player in the FCS, Dickenson led Montana to the FCS national title that year. In the championship game, he orchestrated a 12play, 72-yard scoring drive that culminated with the game-winning field goal as part of a comefrom-behind win over Marshall. In four playoff games in 1995, Dickenson threw for 1,500 yards and 13 touchdowns, bringing his totals at the end of the season to 5,676 and 51, respectively. Although the NCAA did not recognize playoff statistics at the time, he completed the regular season with a school- and then-Big Sky Conference single-season record 4,176 passing yards. Dickenson’s 379.6 yards per game in 1995 rank fifth all-time in FCS history and still stand as a school and conference record. His record-setting senior season also extended off the field where he was named an NFF National Scholar-Athlete and earned his third consecutive Academic All-America honors.
The class of 2018 includes legendary players Trevor Cobb – RB, Rice (1989-92), Kerry Collins – QB, Penn State (1991-94), Dave Dickenson – QB, Montana (1992-95), Dana Howard – LB, Illinois (1991-94), Calvin Johnson – WR, Georgia Tech (2004-06), Paul Palmer – RB, Temple (1983-86), Ed Reed – DB, Miami [Fla.] (1998-2001), Matt Stinchcomb – OT, Georgia (1995-98), Aaron Taylor – C/OG, Nebraska (1994-97), Charles Woodson – DB, Michigan (1995-97). Coaches joining the Hall of Fame include Frank Beamer – 280-144-4 (65.9%); Murray State (1981-86), Virginia Tech (1987-2015), Mack Brown – 244-122-1 (66.6%); Appalachian State (1983), Tulane (1985-87), North Carolina (1988-
