NECESSARY TO #RTD. WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE TO #RTD? WHAT DOES MY FINANCIAL SUPPORT GO TOWARDS? WHAT ARE THE PRIORITIES?
SUMMER SCHOOL IS A TOP PRIORITY: The NCAA allows coaches to make workouts mandatory for student-athletes that are enrolled in summer school. Summer months are crucial development time for coaches to work with student-athletes. Below are some of the key benefits: 1. Summer school is imperative to student-athletes staying on schedule, or even getting ahead of degree completion. 2. Student-athletes will receive proper nutrition during the summer months through a meal stipend that is part of their summer school package. Building in the weight room requires proper nutrition. 3. Summer school increases the number of student-athletes that stay in Missoula for the summer allowing them to bond and build team unity. 4. Summer school allows coaches to continue to coach student-athletes through the year. 5. Enhanced training regimen as workouts become mandatory for student-athletes enrolled in summer school. 6. Summer school is an important recruiting tool that we do not currently utilize at Montana while many of our competitors do. The cost for the strong majority of the football team to attend summer school (cost includes tuition, meals and a stipend) is around $240,000. This is not a onetime cost, this is an annual cost. Strong work in the weight room requires proper nutrition.
“ Outside funding for our football program from generous fans and alums is an instrumental factor to our success. Grizzly Football relies heavily on these donations to help reach our goals year-in and year-out. One of our goals is to make you proud. Your support is helping us with our quest to return to dominance. - Head Coach Bobby Hauck
Dear Current and Prospective QB Club Members: We need three key things to “Return to Dominance!” #RTD
1. 2. 3.
Student-athletes up and down our roster with the talent, work ethic and commitment necessary to be champions. Continuity within a coaching staff united by a shared mindset focused on our program goals and working their tails off to achieve them. Sufficient financial resources to support our student-athletes and coaches in their year around efforts to achieve our program goals of earning a degree, beating state, and winning a championship.
#1 and #2 above are my responsibility. I am asking for your help to achieve #3. As a member of the Grizzly QB Club you are directly supporting our efforts to achieve our program goals. I am excited to introduce a new and exciting format for our 2019 QB Club. I am confident it will provide members exclusive behind the scenes access to Grizzly football, social opportunities to gather with other members of Griz Nation, as well as unique insight to improve your fan experience! As a QB Club member you will be on our team and you will be making a real difference. We made important strides in 2018 but there is much work left to be done. As you know, we are not shying from the task or intimidated by the challenge. Thanks for your continued support of the University of Montana and Grizzly Football. We can’t do it without you. I hope to see you at one of our many planned QB Club events.
Go Griz and Fight on!
Coach Bobby Hauck
