Our award- winning Concert Band meets during the school day and offers Band students the opportunity to perform all genres of music and receive regular and specific instruction for all band instrumentalists with opportunities for private lessons and master classes from accomplished professionals musicians. The Pep-Cats (MKA’s Pep Band) provides entertainment for all home football games and gives students the opportunity to have fun in an informal and spirited performance environment. The MKA Jazz Band is for more accomplished band students who want to take on the challenging world of Jazz. With more than a dozen performances throughout the school year, as well as an annual adjudication at the “Trills ad Thrills Music Festival” at Six Flags Great Adventure, MKA Band students have many opportunities to shine.
