We are happy to provide a personalized schedule for each child allowing them to explore their own interests. STAR Camp has it all-- sports, arts, dance, theater, swimming, science, computers—you name it! JR STAR CAMP
Located at MKA’s Primary School Campus at 224 Orange Road in Montclair, JR STAR Camp hosts campers entering grades Pre-K-2. (Note: Campers must be at least four years old to attend camp.)
STAR CAMP
Campers in grades 3-8 are based at MKA’s Middle School Campus at 201 Valley Road, Montclair.
Fees AND ENROLLMENT:
The fee is $550 per week for the first TWO weeks of registration, and $495 per week for all subsequent weeks of registration. (Fees for the week of July 4 are $440 as camp is closed Monday, July 4th). All fees are due with course registration. Additional fees will be billed throughout the summer for Extended Day care or special classes. 1.
No charge for early registration. $50 late registration fee will be applied as of May 1 and for all walk-in registrations.

Late registration (begins May 1) — payment must be in full including the $50 registration fee.

All money is refundable until May 31, 2016.
4.
There are no refunds or credits due to illness, absence or suspension.
5.
Enrolling for additional weeks is subject to availability.
6.
All campers must submit a completed Registration Form with Medical Information.
7.
The camp reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or dismiss any camper if his or her conduct is detrimental to the well-being of the camp or of any other camper(s), and no refund or credit will be issued.

MKA’s STAR Camp is conveniently located in Montclair, NJ and serves families from surrounding towns. Our private school facilities include: • • • • • • • • • •

OUR ALL-STAR STAFF We take pride in hiring an excellent staff of highly qualified instructors, coaches and teachers with years of experience. Adding to our team are junior counselors who are mature, highly energetic college and high school students dedicated to making your child’s summer a memorable experience. STAR CAMP PROVIDES Six one-week sessions from June 27th - August 5th 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Please note: Camp will be closed on Monday, July 4, and fees will be pro-rated for that week. EXTENDED CARE Early morning supervision is available from 7:30-8:30 a.m. and late afternoon supervision is available from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Snack is included. Fee is $10 per hour and will be billed separately. LUNCH Enjoy the ease and convenience of STAR Camp! Lunch and snack is provided and included in the camp tuition. Each day there will be a

kid-friendly hot lunch, grilled cheese, buttered bagel or roll option. All offerings are peanut free! Beverages include water, juice, lemonade or iced tea. Ice pops are provided daily, and water is always available during the day. Coolers are located on every athletic field. Special Themed Days at JR STAR Camp include Carnival Day, Pony Day, Reptile Day, Swim Visitation Days, Water Carnival and more! Summer 2016 will include a special day each week! Fridays – Weekly shows for campers in the performing arts.

MEET OUR DIRECTORS Ralph and Amy Pacifico have been the directors of STAR Camp for the past 9 years. Together they have over 40 years of teaching and camp experience. Ralph is the Director of Children’s Athletic and Sports Programming and is the Head Varsity Baseball Coach. He has been at Montclair Kimberley Academy for over 21 years. Amy is an elementary teacher in the West Orange Public School System. She has been teaching for 25 years and has her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. Together, Ralph and Amy are dedicated to providing an exceptional summer camp experience for all campers and their parents. STAR Camp strongly believes that all children require physical activity during their day. Therefore, every camper’s schedule will include Swim Instruction and Gym Time. Design your own individualized schedule with exactly what YOU want to do. Try your hand at some sports and combine it with some art and science courses. Learn to swim and decorate a cake—the choice is up to YOU! Campers will choose 5 activities for each week of registration from our diverse menu of course offerings. All of STAR Camp’s sport courses are taught by experienced coaches. Our highly qualified swim staff members are all Red Cross certified. STAR CAMP’s
COUNSELOR IN TRAINING PROGRAM This program is specifically designed for the older campers. 7th and 8th grade campers can create a schedule where they can participate as campers in several courses and help assist counselors with younger campers in other periods. CIT’s will gain the confidence and training needed to work with and engage young campers.
