The Annual Golf Outing, sponsored by Continental Bank is scheduled for Tuesday, October 9th at Plymouth Country Club. Gregory W. Philips has had an extensive and varied architectural, military and legal career that has taken him around the world. A 1986 graduate of Temple University’s College of Engineering and Architecture, Greg became a licensed Architect in 1988. That same year, Greg received his commission as an Ensign in the United States Navy as a Civil Engineer Corps Officer and was assigned to the legendary “Seabees” or construction Battalions. In 1989, Greg began working for the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard as an architect. By 1991 he had been named Base Architect and was responsible for the major construction, repairs, alterations and historic rehabilitations at the Naval Base. Later that year, Greg started Atelier Design, Inc., a full service Architectural, Interior Design and Construction Management firm. As the firm’s President and lead designer, he designed over 1,000,000 square feet of office, residential, commercial and governmental structures and interiors. Some of his notable projects are the façade renovation to Unisys’ Building A, the interior fit out of the Montgomery County Human Services Center and the relocation and renovation of the historic King of Prussia Inn. In 1995, Greg was selected by the Under Secretary for Reserve Affairs to design a Swift Boat Exhibit at the Washington Navy Yard.

Greg graduated with a Juris Doctorate. Later that year, Greg was appointed by the Montgomery County Commissioners as the Acting Director of Public Property in charge of a 26 million dollar capital budget and a staff of 350. In 2001, Greg was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. After leaving Public Property, Greg began practicing law concentrating on family law and estate planning and administration.

In 2004, Greg ran for the 7th Congressional Seat, then held by the Congressman Curt Weldon. After receiving his Party’s endorsement and making it through the primary, Greg’s Campaign was cut short when he was recalled to Active Duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom with Naval Expeditionary Logistics Support Force Forward Bravo. After a successful nine month deployment in which he was highly decorated, Greg returned to his family in April of 2005. Rather than seek to restart his architecture career, Greg made a conscious decision to focus on the practice of law. In addition to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, he is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and In 1996, Greg was accepted to the United States Tax attend the Temple University BeasCourt ley School of Law’s night program, while still practicing Architecture In October 2005 he during the day. Have We Stopped Business Card Exchanges:

Dreaming BIG?

Business Card Exchanges at Continental Bank in Blue Bell and Arnold’s Family Fun Center in Oaks proved to be excellent networking opportunities for Chamber members.

Finally, A Transportation Bill On July 6, President Obama signed the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century (MAP-21) into law. MAP-21 is a two year, $118 billion federal transportation bill and will fund most transportation infrastructure projects. The bill replaces the previous transportation spending bill, Safe Accountable Flexible Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU) which was signed into law by President Bush in 2005 and expired in 2009; Congress passed a series of extensions of SAFETEA-LU while the current bill was debated. What can we expect over the next two years? The policy provisions will take effect on October 1, 2012 and expire October 1, 2014; however, the funding is available immediately. The bill increases funding ever so slightly over the previous bill, mostly to adjust for inflation, making $52 billion per year available nationwide. There has been no change in cost sharing between the federal government and the state, it remains 80 percent federal share, 20 percent state share for projects. Of the $52 billion, $40.4 billion will be available for highway improvement projects while $10.5 billion is made available for transit projects. In addition, there is $1.9 billion available in the New Starts Program, which funds new transit expansion projects, but also gives transit agencies more flexibility in spending allocations. The amount of money given to each state on an annual basis will remain the same as it has been in 2012, PA will receive $1.7 billion per year. MAP-21 does not only fund highway and transit projects, it also directs money into specific programs to address specific issues. National Highway Traffic Safety is a program that investigates highway crashes, and conducts research to develop safer roadways will receive $670 million in FY 2013 and $680 in FY 2014. Commercial Safety, which focuses on the safety of our commercial fleet will see $561 in FY 2012 and $572 in FY 2014. The Research program funds a competitive grant program at $400 million, made available through 35 grants to universities nationwide to develop new transportation innovations.

funded with TIFIA must be repaid, as it is a loan program. TIFIA will now have $750 million in FY2013 and $1 billion in FY2014, an almost nine fold increase in funding. Another winner is tolling. The bill will allow new capacity projects (additional lanes) on existing highways to be tolled, however, it comes with a caveat: there must be more free lanes than toll lanes, and only new lanes can be tolled. Also winning in this bill is the Metropolitan Planning Organizations (DVPRC in our region), who will see a 2% increase in funding. The biggest loss in this bill is the Transportation Enhancements program. Enhancements funded improvements to sidewalks, trails, and the Safe Routes to Schools program through dedicated revenue. The new program, Transportation Alternatives, decreases funding from $1 billion to $750 million, bundles all the previous programs into one and now includes new eligible projects like truck stop electrification, HOV lanes, turning lanes, and diesel retrofits. Half the money will be directed to Metropolitan Planning Organizations, the other half to the state department of transportation. All Transportation Alternatives funding will now be a competitive grant program.

Now that a transportation bill has been passed, we can continue to develop infrastructure improvement projects that our region desperately needs. Although it is not the bill many would have liked, it does not lose any progress made. The bill is the shortest period (two years) of any transportation bill in the past twenty years, and it does not change any priorities for our country’s infrastructure. This is also the longest time between the expiration of a transportation bill and the signing of its replacement. When MAP-21 expires in 2014, we can only hope that Congress is in a better position to fully address the many infrastrucAs with any bill, there are win- ture issues our country is facing. ners and losers. Members of the Chamber are always welcome at The Chamber’s headquarters, the historic King Of Prussia Inn but many ask why is an appointment required? The reason is insurance. The historic 310 year old building has low head clearances and some uneven flooring and for those reasons guests must be escorted in the building much as you would in a private museum. Members are welcome Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 4:30 and can make arrangements by calling (610) 265-1776.

policy: Reservations for Chamber events are generally required two to three days before the actual event. They are required to allow for adequate food service, seating and scheduling. Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week brings students from across Pennsylvania to Lycoming College (Williamsport, PA) and Pennsylvania College of Technology (Williamsport, PA) each summer to participate in one of the four one-week programs. Local students that graduated from PFEW 2012 and were sponsored by the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce include Nikolas Anderson (Plymouth-Whitemarsh SHS), Conor Fox (Norristown Area HS) and Rachel Kuria (Upper Merion HS). They were some of the 260 students from Montgomery County who also graduated from the program. PFEW is designed to give today’s youth a better understanding of our free enterprise system and how businesses operate and succeed with it. When a student

EveryDoor & MORE

Local Pages Publishing, LLC. has launched Every Door and More TM, a total direct mail program solution for businesses, by Local Pages Publishing, LLC. Every door and more lets businesses have custom postcards, menus, coupons and brochures designed, printed and direct mailed to any designated area neighborhood, zip code or even a single carrier route. Since the U.S. Postal Service introduced Every Door Direct Mail TM last year, it’s been a hit among small businesses. However, many businesses have not used the program as the missing pieces made it difficult for businesses to execute and is time consuming. Every Door and More TM works closely with The USPS to package the most effective cost efficient program for businesses. There is no extra expense for a mailing list, it is cost efficient and takes all the work out of a direct mail program. By sourcing the graphics, printer, agencies and mailing, small to medium size businesses from restaurants, pizza delivery shops, retail stores and even landscaping and lawn services can put Every Door and More TM, to work to boost their customer base. What else can Every Door and More TM do? For example if you are a specialty business who needs to reach prospects in a particular demographic area of any type. You can target ZIP Code locations where your target audience exists and you can even target specific neighborhoods. The Every Door and More TM program is highly effective and the beautiful aspect of this program is that it makes it cost-effective to find new prospective customers for any size business. There are plenty more ways to make Every Door and More TM work for your business — and we’d love to discuss them with you. Find out more about Every Door and More TM for your business and you will understand what the buzz is about! For info call 610-551-0539

BECOMING THE

Optimal Salesperson

®

The Optimal Salesperson Mastering the Mindset of Sales Superstars

Re-Motivate Yourself

By Dan Caramanico Motivation is internal. Sales managers can’t motivate salespeople. They can only help the salesperson to get and stay in touch with their own internal motivation. Some people are able to stay motivated without much effort. They have a high degree of intrinsic motivation. They were programmed or trained to constantly strive to do more, be more effective, reach higher levels, etc. This is not always a good thing as these “driven” people often have trouble relaxing or enjoying the journey to success. For salespeople motivation is more often external. Since salespeople are, in large measure, paid for performance in the form of commission, we set financial goals then work to achieve them. In a sense, we set our own compensation level. The problem comes in the day-to-day grind of prospecting, rejection, proposal writing, staff meetings, and client meetings. When fighting the daily fight, ,it is easy to lose sight of why we are working and in some cases we lose sight of what we should be doing. Selling is not like other jobs where showing up is half the battle. Most doctors, lawyers, engineers, laborers, customer service people, food service workers and mostly everyone else show up and work comes at them. Salespeople have to be proactive and engage with the outside world. We have to overcome self-limiting beliefs that prevent us from being effective. So it is easy to see why we can get into a rut and just go through the motions to get through the days and weeks. After all, it is never a crisis to prospect for new business today … until it is probably too late to do anything about it that is! Sounds grim doesn’t it? But you can change all of that in a very short time. When was the last time you revisited your personal goals? For most salespeople I ask, it has been a while. And I am not just talking about reminding yourself that your goal is to get a house at the beach. I am talking about reconnecting with the reasons why you want the house at the beach – the underlying emotional reason. It is important to remind yourself how you will feel when you get to the goal. In a very real sense your motivation to do the things you need to do will come from that emotional connection to the things or lifestyle that you want for yourself or your family. Is it a sense of accomplishment, fulfillment, duty? If it is just a “box you checked” on the goal setting form your manager gave you, it won’t move you to action. But if it is something you and your spouse have talked about, and dreamed about and you can’t wait to host some summer parties for your friends or you want your kids to grow up with something you never had. That will get you excited and be a compelling enough reason to put the extra effort in to do the difficult tasks that top earners must do. Re-motivate yourself by reconnecting in an emotional way with your goals. Have you ever wondered how the professionals on Wall Street find opportunities, manage risk and maximize profit? It’s not by reading some book on Amazon because true professional investment strategies and techniques are not written about in any book. The key to consistently making money in the market certainly isn’t sold for $19.95 in paperback. We teach hundreds of students each year how to manage their investments and trade like a Wall Street pro. How? By using real Wall Street pros as instructors. We hire market makers, hedge fund managers, floor traders, etc. to teach our students how to do exactly what they do. Most people think they can’t time the market. That’s because they’ve never been taught. Only about 5% of people who invest in the market have any formal education. Not surprisingly, the percent of people

who are consistently successful is close to the percent that are educated. The only edge in the market is an education. Most people think that good diversification means having stocks in a number of different sectors. Yet, in 2008, even ‘diverse’ portfolios plummeted. That’s because true diversification happens with the right mix of different asset classes, not just different stocks. Whether you’re managing your IRA for retirement or are trying to generate an income from trading, the rule-based strategies taught by real market professionals at Online Trading Academy can give you the edge you need. The

IRS'Fresh

Start Initiative Beginning in February 2011, the IRS announced a series of new steps to help struggling taxpayers get a fresh start with their tax liabilities. The goal was to help individuals and small businesses meet their tax obligations. Over the past several years the IRS has announced a softening of its collection policies under its fresh start program. The fresh start, says the IRS Commissioner, is for good people facing tough times. These changes include significantly increasing the minimum dollar threshold for liens, making it easier for taxpayers to obtain lien withdrawals, and simplifying the ability to obtain installment agreements between a taxpayer and the IRS that settles the taxpayer’s tax liabilities. Under the second round of the fresh start initiative, announced on May 21, 2012, the IRS expanded a new streamlined offer in compromise (“OIC”) program. The OIC program covers a larger group of struggling taxpayers by offering more flexible terms in its OIC program. This new program promises to enable some of the most financially distressed taxpayers an opportunity to clear up their tax problems more quickly than in the past. In general, an OIC is an agreement between a taxpayer and the IRS that settles the taxpayer’s tax liabilities for less than the full amount owed. An OIC is generally not accepted if the IRS believes the liability can be paid in full as a lump sum or through a payment agreement. The IRS looks at the taxpayer’s income and assets to make a determination of the taxpayer’s reasonable collection potential. In the past, the IRS strictly applied its OIC rules with respect to a taxpayer’s income and expense and valuation of assets. As a result of this strict application, most taxpayers who sought an OIC received a rejection. Under the new OIC program, when the IRS calculates a taxpayer’s reasonable collection potential, it will consider only one year of future income for offers paid in five or fewer months, down from four years; and two years of future income for offers paid in six to 24 months, down from five years. All offers must be fully paid in six to 24 months of the date the OIC is accepted.

by Barry A. Furman

The new OIC policy should dramatically expand the number of taxpayers eligible to compromise their outstanding tax obligations. In the past, taxpayers generally had to pay the total value of all their assets plus 60 times their net monthly income after using the strict allowable expense standards. The greater flexibility of the new policy should reduce the valuation of taxpayer assets and the value of the future income component used to determine acceptable offers. When reviewing a taxpayer’s income and expense statement, the IRS will apply allowable living expense standards to determine a taxpayer’s ability to pay. In response to criticisms, the IRS expanded the National Standard miscellaneous allowance to include additional items. Also, payments for delinquent state and local taxes may be allowed based on a percentage basis of tax owed to the state and IRS. These are another in a series of steps to help struggling taxpayers under the fresh start initiative. (Submitted Copy; Contact crafanello@localpagespublishing.com)

Let the Commercial

Borrower Beware

Why Ben Franklin Never Borrowed Money by Neil Stein

I know that every business needs to borrow money sometime. I don’t know whether Ben Franklin ever borrowed money for his business. I just know that he had a great deal to say about the borrower-lender relationship and the benefits of wise counsel. From a legal perspective, I counsel borrowers to beware of three categories of traps - the unwritten, the undefined, and the unsaid, which ultimately lead to dispute, demand and default.

The unwritten generally refers to the early stages of a loan transaction, when the lender produces a sufficiently vague term sheet or a less than thorough commitment letter. By the way, a commitment letter is more a commitment by the borrower to pay fees rather than a binding commitment by the lender to lend. If there are terms that are critical to the transaction, be absolutely certain that these terms are clearly contained within the commitment. Remember, that Franklin reminded us that “creditors have better memories than debtors.” Franklin was really saying that a court will more likely rely upon a written commitment and the lender explanation of the document, rather than your unwritten recollection of the transaction. The undefined refers to loan terms that are too undefined or vague to be of any use. For example, even if

a loan is titled as “nonrecourse,” the absence of a definition could lead to personal liability. Also, undefined requirements or obligations often create additional or hidden expense. For example, a lender requiring the borrower’s financial statements to be audited or requiring excessive insurance coverage when the loan document is silent or vague. Well drafted and negotiated loan documents will allow you to avoid Franklin’s warning that “he that lives upon hope will die fasting.” The unsaid is just that – a concern never expressed or documented because trust of the lender has replaced attention to detail. Your lender’s wink and nod puts you at ease. Remember, your bank can disappear and along with it, your banker. Your new contact may have a less favorable view of your business leading to disagreement, demand and default. Never take anything for granted when your assets are at stake. Franklin said that “as we must account for every idle word, so must we account for every idle silence.” If you doubt any of this, remember whose face is on a $100.00 bill. HALLOWEENSafety

For many people, fall events like Halloween are fun times to dress up in costumes, go trick-or-treating, attend parties, and eat yummy treats. These events are also opportunities to provide nutritious snacks, get physical activity, and focus on safety. Halloween is a cherished tradition but the excitement of the night can cause children to forget to be careful. There is no real "trick" to making Halloween a real treat for the entire family. The major dangers are not from witches or spirits but rather from falls and pedestrian/car crashes. Both children and adults need to think about safety on this annual day of make-believe. Below are tips to help make the festivities fun and safe for trick-or-treaters and party guests.

Costume Design and accessories • Always wear hypoallergenic or non-toxic make-up. When buying special Halloween makeup, check for packages containing ingredients that are labeled "Made with U.S. Approved Color Additives," "Laboratory Tested," "Meets Federal Standards for Cosmetics," or "Non-Toxic." Follow manufacturer's instruction for application. Only adults should apply the make-up to children and remove it with cold cream or eye make-up remover instead of soap. • False eyelashes and costume make-up can also irritate eyes. It’s very important to follow the directions on the product package on how to apply and remove safely. • Contact lenses that come in a variety of styles and colors, such as cat eyes or snake eyes, have been a popular addition to some costumes in the past years, especially for teens. But many parents may not be aware that in November 2005, President Bush signed a bill into law which makes it illegal to purchase these contacts, even if they are noncorrective, without a prescription. • Never wear costumes that could block vision such as some masks, wigs, hats or eye patches. • Make sure that shoes fit well and that costumes are short enough to prevent tripping and falling. • Take extra effort to eliminate tripping hazards on your porch and walkway such as hoses, potted plants, etc. Make sure jack-o-lanterns are also placed out of the way. • Look for costumes made of flame-retardant material. • Avoid props or accessories that have sharp edges or pointed ends such as pitchforks, spears, knives, swords or wands.

Getting Treats • Carefully examine all trick-or-treat items for signs of tampering before allowing children to eat them. Inspect any toys or novelty items received by kids age 3 and younger as they may pose a choking hazard. • Give children an early meal before going out. Stash a couple of treats from home in their pocket in case they get hungry while out and about. You know this was checked before they go out. • Insist that treats they receive be brought home for inspection before anything is eaten. • Wash fruit and slice into small pieces. • When in doubt, throw it out. • Do not accept open drinks or unwrapped snacks at strangers’ homes.

Giving treats or hosting a party • Provide more nutritious treats for trick-or-treaters, such as individual packs of raisins, trail mix, and pretzels. For party guests, offer a variety of fruits, vegetables, and cheeses. • Use party games and trick-or-treat time as an opportunity for kids to get their daily dose of 60 minutes of physical activity. • Be sure walking areas and stairs are well-lit and free of obstacles that could result in falls. • Keep candle-lit jack-o’-lanterns and luminaries away from doorsteps, walkways, landings, and curtains. Place them on sturdy tables, keep them out of the reach of pets and small children, and never leave them unattended. • Remind drivers to watch out for trick-or-treaters and to drive safely. Follow these tips to help make the festivities fun and safe for everyone! For questions or more information contact Pat Fallon, Health Educator at 610-278-5117 x 6782.

While trick or treating • When trick-or-treating, always wear bright, reflective clothing or decorate costumes and bags with reflective tape/patches. Carry a bright flashlight to improve visibility. • Always accompany children while trick-or-treating. Only go to houses you are familiar with and only visit homes that have the porch light on. • Do not enter homes or apartments without adult supervision. • Walk, do not run, from house to house. Do not cross yards and lawns where unseen objects or the uneven terrain can present tripping hazards. • Walk on sidewalks, not in the street. • Walk on the left side of the road, facing traffic if there are no sidewalks.

Personal Security

Our sympathies are with the victims of the Colorado movie theater shooting and their families. We have read about the individual acts of courage, and I'm sure we will learn more about the actions of those in the theater and of the shooter, in the near future. What would you do in a similar situation? You're in a crowded, public place with limited exits and someone starts shooting? It's unfortunate that we live in a world where these things happen, but we do, and we do have to consider what our actions would be in a comparable scenario. We can't avoid bad things that happen; and we can't stop living our lives. Here is some advice to help you to navigate a horrible occurrence. First, be aware. It is important to know your surroundings. Look around, take in what is going on around you. It's difficult to tell people what is suspicious, but you will know it when you see it. Second, take action. If you do think something is suspicious, then act on it. Tell someone who works for the place, tell someone you're with, and find out what is going on. Of course the seriousness of the situation will dictate the actions you take. Third, respond. Your response will depend on the situation, but basically you have 3 options, escape, take cover or concealment, or attack. Your first thought will probably be on how to escape. Knowing your surroundings will help you to escape. If you can't escape, then take cover by getting under or behind something or conceal yourself somehow. In a dark movie theater possibly laying between two rows of seats will be all you can do. Taking the last option will depend on your situation and abilities. Are you in a position to attack the threat? If you are, do you have the training or tools to disable or defeat the threat? Thinking about which option you would take will make that decision quicker and may be the deciding factor in your success. Prepare your Feet NOW for next

Summer!

Did you spend this summer wishing you could wear your favorite sandals? But you wouldn’t dare expose your toes because your nails were discolored and thick? Don’t spend another minute hiding in your shoes! NOW is the time to fix the problem for next year. Be forewarned, there is no quick fix to eliminating toenail fungus. By the time it is noticeable on your nails, it has been in your body for months. Treatment is going to take just as long to rid you of the fungus. Where did it come from? A fungal toenail infection can be picked up in many common places... pools, showers, gyms, even your own home. It can come from skin infections like athletes foot or jock itch. EVERYTHING is Personal You don’t just put your money in a bank. You put your trust. You bring your goals. Your worries. Your dreams for the future. And a good bank looks out for all of them. At Firstrust, our aim is to create a personal relationship with all of our customers – whether you have a large business or a small personal account. To understand what you need – even if you’re not quite sure what that is. Sometimes, a business needs more than just cash. It needs a trusted advisor. A sounding board. An ally who can understand where you are now – and how to get you where you really want to be. As a business customer, you’ll have a dedicated team of banking specialists who will get to know you, as well as your business. Loan decisions are made by people you know on a first name basis. And if you ever want to talk to the president or even the CEO of the bank, you can do that too. Whether you need a loan, a line of credit, real estate financing or cash management services – or just someone you really can trust, Firstrust is here, and ready to help. And as we

get to know you, we encourage you to get to know us. Understand that at Firstrust, you’re not just another customer. You’re one of the family. We go to great lengths to serve our customers. We’ve even been known to make house calls when elderly people can’t make it in to the bank. Or call customers to let them know their balance is low – before they incur any overdraft charges. In short, we provide a level of care you might not expect from a bank. Firstrust began in 1934 as a small, family owned business. And while we’ve grown to become one of the largest banks in the region – we are still the same family owned business. We’ve never been sold, or even been up for sale. To Chief Executive Officer Richard J. Green, it means following the legacy of his grandfather. Treating people with respect. Helping them create their own stories of success. In short, welcoming them into the family. Because at Firstrust, everything is personal. (Submitted Copy; Contact crafanello @localpagespublishing.com)

The SUCCESSFUL use of "Vaser

Liposuction"

By Dr. Marlene Mash

Q. What’s the difference between Liposuction and Liposelection?

Q: What is VASER Liposuction? A. VASER Liposuction is a highly sophisticated alternative to traditional liposuction. It uses ultrasound technology to emulsify the fat in your body. By turning the fat into a liquid, the fat can be easily removed from the body using a suction cannula. The technique selectively removes fat without damaging blood vessels, nerves and tissue. As a result of this, it creates far less trauma to the body and reduces the recovery times. VASER Liposuction can be used in many areas of the body, including the back, the abdomen, breasts and other areas that were previously difficult to sculpt with traditional methods. Q: Is VASER Lipo better than Smart Lipo? A. It’s not a matter of ‘better’ per se; they are very different methods of removing fat from the body. Smart Lipo has some advantages over traditional liposuction, but VASER works differently in the way that it removes the fat and has more advantages than conventional lipo and Smart laser solutions. Simply put, Smart Lipo uses a laser to break up the fat, whereas VASER Lipo uses ultrasound technology. VASER Lipo has demonstrated excellent recovery times, because it does not damage blood vessels, nerves or connective tissues when it is melting the fat. VASER Lipo is performed under local anaesthesia and greatly reduces risk and recovery times.

A. These are all marketing terms used within the cosmetic treatment industry for similar products. ‘Liposuction’ is simply the term used for the frequently performed surgical procedure that removes unwanted fat from the body using a suction system. ‘LipoSelection’ is a trade term that is associated with VASER, the advanced ultrasound technology that emulsifies body fat. Unlike traditional liposuction methods, it can be used on densely fibrous areas such as the back. Q. Which areas of the body does VASER Liposelection work best on? A. I have achieved great success using VASER ultrasound technology to remove emulsified fat from many different areas of the body. I have had excellent success removing unwanted fatty tissue from the following areas: Abdomen, Thighs, Knees, Buttocks, Hips, Arms, Male Breast Area, Love Handles, and Neck areas. Due to the safe, non-invasive method that VASER uses, I can use Vaser on practically any area of the body where unwanted fat is stored. In fact, I also have developed a method using VASER Lioposuction in the treatment of Hyperhidrosis ‘excess sweating.’ Q. How do you use VASER Liposuction to treat Hyperhidrosis? A. Specifically for patients who sweat excessively, I use the Vaser ultrasonic frequency to eliminate the sweat glands. The procedure normally only takes about 30 minutes and results are seen in about a week. This treatment is usually permanent. (Go to her website to hear patients discuss the results at: www.DrMarleneMash.com) (Submitted Copy; Contact crafanello @localpagespublishing.com)

How to Define Your

BRAND &

Avoid the online

GAMBLE

Regardless of the size of your company, it is important to have a brand that people identify with. This can be a challenge as our marketing budgets keep shrinking. The most common solution is to search the internet for an inexpensive promotional product without consideration for its true purpose or quality. At Tonbo Visual Promotions, we specialize in forming an integrated marketing strategy that fits within our client’s budget while effectively promoting their brand with superior products and services. With so many web-based promotional product companies offering incredible specials, it’s hard to imagine why you need to work directly with a local company. If you’ve gone that route, then you already know the answer. There are numerous pitfalls to ordering online that most people aren’t aware of till it’s too late.

- Inaccurate sizing due to different brands - Poor packaging causing broken or damaged items - No guarantees or questionable return/exchange policies - Restocking and shipping costs charged on returns - No communication for items on backorder - Shipping costs that exceed true shipping costs - No specific customer service representative to work directly with - Working with a safe, legitimate company with a secure site It’s time to move away from the impulse purchases and try a new direction in your promotional marketing. When working with Tonbo Visual Promotions, customer service and guaranteed work is our top priority. We do this with our VIP Service…Finding the right Vehicle…for making the right Impression…that attracts the right Person. We work directly with our clients to create and promote a cohesive brand image through an integrated, coordinated quality suite of products aligned with your marketing objectives. Our success is evident by the long-term relations with our clients. Tonbo Visual Promotions is a minority owned business with over 30 years of industry experience. If you’re ready to try a different strategy that actually works in promoting your business, please contact Fred Taffer at 215.723.0250, fred@tonbopromo.com or www.tonbopromo.com.
