I love visiting the Capitol and archives and history buildings. The rotunda of the Capitol is a treasure and must see. Prevail Coffee is a great place to start the day downtown. There is always a great mix of locals and tourists.

I’m a little partial to Dreamland and Railyard Brewing Co but the restaurants downtown are all amazing.

Dexter Avenue - I've never encountered such a concentration of historical events in one area. Prevail Union has the best cup of coffee in town and it shows with the community they've built. The Alabama Shakespeare Festival is always an opportunity to experience the magic of the stage.
