ABOUT: The Supertech M10 helmet is engineered to offer the perfect blend of excellent ventilation, and unsurpassed comfort, to create a helmet with the lightest weight possible, all without compromising on performance or safety.

FEATURES:

The S-M10’s design offers a smooth, attractive, aerodynamic profile which is streamlined and free of any external channels and features that might act as a load point in an impact or compromise the overall integrity of the helmet’s construction.

The surface curvature promotes reduced friction on impact, allowing deflection and the most efficient transfer of energy to protect the rider’s head from direct force to the skull and referred to the neck and spinal column.

The S-M10 shell sizing solution ensures each helmet fit size has its own appropriate shell size to deliver the most anatomical solution for the wide variety of fit needs worldwide, providing 4 different helmet shell sizes S, M, L, and XL and 6 consumer sizes from XS to XXL to ensure riders have the correct fit which not only improves comfort and reduces overall weight, but most importantly, improves the effectiveness of the helmet in an impact.

PROTECTION: - The helmet’s shell construction utilizes a highly advanced molding technology with a multi-composite combination: 1) 3K Carbon, high density carbon outer layer that improves strength and efficiency of energy dissipation over the shell, 2) Uni-directional carbon composite layer that gives significantly greater radial strength around the shell, preventing compression but allowing controlled deflection for reducing transmitted impact energy, and 3) Aramid fiber layer which provides critical penetration protection. This combination of layers is given even greater performance with an epoxy resin bonding that offers the best possible strength and energy management; limited outer shell deflection means the energy spreads wider and is better absorbed by the 4 density EPS liner.

- The result of the unique shell lay-up process employed in the S-M10 construction results in extremely effective impact protection. The S-M10 returning linear and oblique impact performance which exceeds current helmet regulation standard limits. For direct linear impacts, which is an impact at a 90-degree angle between the helmet and an object, the SM10 surpasses the new ECE 22.06 standard for 2024 by an average magnitude of 46% for regular-speed impacts. New for the ECE 22.06 standard, new requirements now include low-speed and high-speed linear impacts where the SM10 surpasses the new ECE 22.06 Peak Linear Acceleration standards by 23% and 28% respectively.

- And for rotational acceleration and oblique impact performance, where impact energy comes from an angle other than a linear 90-degree, or right-angle straight impact, the S-M10 exceeds the new ECE 22.06 Peak Rotational Acceleration standard by 76%.

- Redesigned chin bar’s new profile, where the base area has been specifically sculpted to give a relief section, raised to clear the collarbone, with a new softer EPS liner which extends beyond the helmet shell itself, and is covered by a more flexible rubber compound providing a reduced chance of any sort of collarbone injury.

- Multi-directional Impact Protection System (MIPS). MIPS is system designed to impede the rotational forces that can result from certain impacts and works by adding two low friction layers which act against each other and essentially act as a slip plane to mimic the brain’s own low friction cerebrospinal fluid, which is the body’s natural defense against oblique impacts. This decrease in the rotational acceleration of the brain inside the skull after impact reduces the risk of concussion and other brain injuries.

- ERS Emergency Visor Release and a new Visor Extension to provide protection from roost and the sun.

- New eject technology includes the eject helmet removal system.

ABOUT: Anatomically engineered and profiled specifically for youth and younger riders, the all-new SM3 Youth is optimized for MX, Enduro and Off-road use, and features a whole raft of technologies and innovations taken from Alpinestars range of adult helmets to deliver the optimal blend of performance, protection and comfort.

KEY FEATURES:

This lightweight helmet features a thermo-injected shell incorporating a special polymer blend enhanced by varying degrees of thickness that is engineered to deliver the optimal combination of impact protection and light weight.

Lightweight outer shell is constructed from a technologically advanced impact resistant thermoplastic in three sizes (Youth Small, Youth Medium and Youth Large. The SM3 Youth weighs 1060g (ECE) and 1170g (DOT).

Separate versions of the shells for DOT and ECE requirements; the DOT certified version of the helmet’s inner shell is constructed with a composite fiber assembled between the outer shell and the EPS liner for maximum protection against impacts.

The fit can be tailored to the rider’s head thanks to the helmet’s crown and cheek pads, which are available as genuine spare parts in different thicknesses.

Youth Medium and Youth Large sizes share the same EPS size, which allows riders with an YM size to initially buy an YM helmet and then configure it to a Youth Large size as they grow via the crown and cheek pad spare parts.

The Youth Small has a smaller EPS size and can be customized only via the cheek pads. Alpinestars extensive research has shown that the kids that wear a YS size are very small, typically 3 to 4 years old, and therefore they require a dedicated helmet fit.

Multiple density inner liner ensures the helmet is equipped with the correct density in the correct area for enhanced impact absorption, while also helping reduce overall weight.

The inner and outer surfaces are engineered to minimize the effects of oblique impacts.

Alpinestars patented low friction coating is applied to the inner part of the main EPS liner to reduce the rotational acceleration forces that can result from certain oblique impacts. This layer essentially acts as a slip plane to mimic the brain’s own low friction cerebrospinal fluid, which is the body’s natural defense against oblique impacts.

Patented visor release system ensures the visor is released with the correct pre-determined amount of force, effectively reducing the forces on the rider’s neck during an impact.

Comfort liner is constructed using recycled materials for a lower carbon footprint.

Hydration tube channels are integrated into the helmet’s cheek pads for convenience and performance.

SAFETY: - Alpinestars has introduced a new in-house standard for the SM3 Youth to test the helmet’s chin to conditions heavier than the homologation standard, and in order to pass the Alpinestars’ new standards, the shell thickness and the structure of the helmet design itself have both been optimized on the chin area for superior impact performance.

The Tech 10’s design is guided by three priorities; to improve overall functionality, performance and safety, decrease weight and reduce material volume. The result is a boot with a greater range of movement and flexibility while offering better control over the flexion and torsion forces that significantly improve boot performance, giving the rider greater confidence and protection.

FEATURES: Material composites have been created that are lighter in weight and more durable to ensure they hold up to the rigors of off-road riding. The new, cold-forged, aluminum buckles are a result with an easier to operate, more durable and self-aligning closure that offer a positive hold across the upper surfaces of the boot.

The result has yielded over 400 grams (almost 1lb) in weight reduction for the Tech 10.

The design also reduces the Tech 10’s profile and physical size. It is more streamlined with newer, lighter, more durable composite materials and a more integrated approach to the construction of the components which dynamically enhance the chassis of the boot and utilize more advanced bonding processes.

The Tech 10 chassis combines advanced lightweight microfiber and impact and abrasion resistant TPU shell.

Combining with the dual front and rear blade connectors, the Frontal Flex Frame gives the Tech 10 a complete and seamless flexion control system, from the foot shell all the way up to the shin plate, offering high performance double motion control, preventing over-compression and hyper-extension, featuring:

Engineered frontal flexion control is offered by a dualdensity TPU connector system, uniting the lower buckle plate with the upper blade connector, buckle and shin protector. Engineered to ‘float’ freely between the lower and upper boot construction, the Frontal Flex Frame acts as a shock absorber by distributing energy across the boot frame while controlling forward and rearward flex, progressively releasing force which dampens and absorbs impact energies.

A unique feature of the Tech 10 is the ankle control system developed in the outer shell construction, allowing natural ankle movement, vertical compression control and improved impact protection.

Asymmetrical medial and lateral double pivot system for improved levels of flexibility and precision for both independent and synchronized movement. The medial pivot arm’s higher placement reduces material volume in the lower part of the boot, creating more space for the patented inner ankle brace system to have free movement and improve control. Reducing the volume on the inner side also reduces abrasion, where the boot is in contact with the bike and improves grip and feel.

PROTECTION: - Dual density TPU rear blade system engineered to prevent hyperextension while offering improved flex control and impact resistance.

- Built into the Tech 10’s unique and lightweight singlepiece co-injected foot chassis is the patented Dynamic Heel Compression Protector (DHCP), an innovative safety feature which includes a fully integrated collapsible heel area with expanded poly-foam to absorb high impact energies during a crash. DCHP features a directional impact protection system which significantly reduces the effect of excessive, potentially injury-causing, energy being transferred to the ankle and lower leg. DHCP has been used by Alpinestars athletes in the demanding environments of professional Supercross and Motocross.

- The bio-mechanical inner ankle brace features lighter, anatomically redesigned medial and lateral torsion arms which are compact and offer increased range of movement and control. In conjunction with the outer boot chassis, the ankle brace gives vertical and lateral protection from ankle and leg compression and rotation and progressive damping of torsional forces during an accident, while still allowing natural freedom of movement.
