ABOUT MOONLER Moonler Collection Co., Ltd. was established in 2008 by Mr. Phuwanat Damrongporn (Engineer) and Mr. Tor Sarawut (Designer) who both share love and passion for furniture design. Started as a small workshop and store in Chiangmai Thailand, the factory quickly expanded to a 4,000 square meters ( 43,000 square feet ) space with fully equipped wood and metal departments. Moonler specializes in production of Monkey Pod. Moonler’s main focus is on high quality finished products for export markets. Moonler offers handcrafted custom products most of which are designed in-house. In few short years, Moonler became a leading factory in Thailand known and recognized for its quality work and high end projects. Moonler is committed to manufacturing and delivering high quality products. We at Moonler believe that our commitment to high quality manufacturing and dedicated service to our customers will contribute to our future growth. We offer contemporary designed furniture with clean lines, natural styling and expert craftsmanship. Each piece in our collection reflects the beauty of Monkey Pod. Some products combine the use of custom metal parts.

OUR WORK Manufacturing furniture is a multiple step process. Proper fabrication practice is required in order to ensure a quality product and customers’ satisfaction.

Timber is processed by different machines and crafted to fit the designed product


Components assembled according to product’s drawing. Where needed, parts are glued together to form a strong bond. Assembled parts are then stacked together and labeled. Carefully sanded to remove all sharp edges. All surfaces are treated with protective finishing materials.

KILN DRYING Freshly cut logs may contain moisture content (MC) of 80% or more. Wood shrinks, splits & twists as it dries. We dry our woods to moisture content level of between 10 - 16%.

PREPARING WOOD At the saw mill, logs are split into slabs and organized according to size. Slabs are then air dried for a period of approximately 1 month and then placed into our large kilns for a digitally controlled process.

DIGITAL CONTROL PANEL

THE DRYING PROCESS Wood must be dry before fabrication commences. We use digitally controlled kilns in order to reduce the moisture content on the wood about 10 to 16%. Our kilns are equipped with sophisticated air circulation system which enables us to maintain even heat levels inside the kilns. Kiln dry process varies according to thickness and requires weeks of gauging and orderly data logging. This process is monitored by our quality control personnel.

MOISTURE CONTROL AND INSPECTION Our quality controllers inspects each stage of production and facilitate the production of bug & mold free top quality products. In the process of removing termites we use environmental friendly materials.

The living tree, contains large quantities of water. As green wood dries, most of the water content is removed. The moisture remaining in the wood tends to come to equilibrium with the relative humidity of the surrounding air. Correct drying, handling, and storage of wood will minimize moisture content changes that might occur after drying when the wood is in service. Such changes are undesirable. If moisture content is controlled within reasonable limits by such methods, major problems from dimensional changes can usually be avoided.

Monkey Pod will crack while drying if the process is not controlled properly. Using digital equipment our quality control inspectors monitor the moisture content of each and every piece of wood.


METAL WORKS Moonler’s metal department complements our line of products, many of which use metal legs and supports that are custom made according to customers’ specification. Our expert technicians have unique skills and experience in complex welding and metal works. Powder coating equipment is an integral part of our service.

LIVING & DESIGN OSAKA, JAPAN For the past 4 years, Moonler has exhibited in this trade show. Our production capabilities enables us to cater to the Japanese market. Several items of our standard production line items, have been designed by well known Japanese designers Mr. Toshiyuki Kita of Osaka and Mr. Daisuke Ikeda of Osaka.
