FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR FAMILY RACEDAY SETS THE SKIES ALIGHT
The Jumps season returns to Ascot with a bang at their annual fireworks spectacular on Saturday 30th October. A high-quality card, featuring the £100,000 Sodexo Gold Cup Chase, is followed by one of the region’s largest fireworks displays featuring a breath-taking pyro-musical show with over 20,000 fireworks as the spectacular finale to a spooktacular family day out. On all Hallows’ Eve, they are getting preparations underway for a frightfully fun Halloween. Watch out for creepy crawly animal handling, pumpkin carving, spooky themed arts and crafts and a slippery slime workshop. As a real treat, younger racegoers can enrol in Magician School where they can learn a few tricks of their own! For the big kids and thrill-seekers, free fairground rides and adrenaline attractions will be at the racecourse throughout the day. See contact details to book tickets or for further information. In this Jurassic world you’ll be amazed at the lifelike walking, animatronic Raptor and Triceratops, the hand-held operating ‘live’ baby dinosaurs and the Tyrannosaurus Rex. If you manage to avoid the roaming monsters, you can head over to the fun fair for some thrilling rides suitable for all ages and, to keep you fed and toasty, there will be a choice of light bites, warm snacks and other bonfire night favourites available from the concession stands. Then it’s time for the main attraction! At approximately 7.45pm the pyrotechnics team will light the touch paper and unleash the HUGE firework fiesta featuring a dazzling display of rockets, Catherine wheels, fountains and more, set to some blockbuster hits. And don’t worry if the weather is wet, as there’s a covered viewing area. After the display, you can stay on and continue to enjoy the rides, great food and entertainment but don’t forget to pay a visit to the dinosaur egg to see if it has hatched after all the excitement!
