Interactive, musical fun for all the family at The Beatles Story this half term

Children of all ages are invited to experience The Discovery Zone at Liverpool’s award-winning attraction, The Beatles Story, on the waterfront at the Royal Albert Dock. Activities and theatrical entertainment at The Atkinson

There are plenty of (mostly free!) ways to entertain the family at The Atkinson in Southport. A range of interactive activities has been designed to help visitors of all ages explore The Atkinson. Their stunning Egyptology museum shows what life was like in ancient Egypt at the time of the Pharaohs. In the local history museum, discover the story of Sefton from prehistoric times to the present day. In the theatre don’t miss a magical, musical adaptation of the classic picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, The Gruffalo (26 April, 1:30pm & 4pm; 27 April, 10:30am). The Atkinson is also home to an art gallery, children’s library, an award-winning café and a souvenir shop.

From Europe’s largest indoor sand and water play to the thrills of the Rocky Road, Cheshire’s awardwinning family attraction, The Ice Cream Farm, offers visitors a space to make memories. There’s a fantastic day ahead of you at WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre

Enjoy splashing, dipping, playing, feeding, paddling and getting up-close-and-personal to some of nature’s most wonderful wildlife. There are 800 acres of adventure to flutter hearts, home to thousands of rare birds; cheeky otters; an all-star cast of pretty pink flamingos and a group of white storks to mention a few. There is a whole host of spring fun adventures for you and your family to enjoy. Grab a paddle and take to the water in our award winning canoe safari. Embark on the canoe via a self-service jetty and set off your watery adventure searching for moorhens, mallards, fish, water voles and the illusive kingfisher. Delve into their ponds and see what creatures are lurking beneath. You can find the slippery newts or dinosaur like dragonfly nymphs in this free activity. In addition build a den, go on a wild walk adventure, check out the nature from our discovery hide, brave the stepping stones or from zip wire screams and scramble net laughs and treehouse trailblazing, their huge adventure playground is a total rush for ages 3 to 12.
