A new beginning for Davidsons IFA

For 20 years now we have been arranging mortgages, life assurance, pensions and investments for anyone who needs our help. We have picked funds, built portfolios and created investments with an enviable track record. I believe we have brought together some of the best mortgage and financial advisers in the industry and as we have grown as an organisation, we have retained our soul. Over the last few years I have been working on ways to continue business growth. All successful businesses face challenges at times and we are no exception...the most important thing is to remember who you are, what you do and why you have been successful up to that point. In our case, being honest with people about what they need and how we can help is what really matters. This includes being honest with ourselves about our changing needs. With an increasing number of clients enjoying our service, we need to make sure we can continue to handle increased demand effectively, without losing sight of what’s right for the client. As a result of these deliberations, we (Davidsons) have now merged with Courtiers, a larger firm that can provide us with all the support we need to continue to grow. That means additional admin support here in our Okehampton office, and it also means access to investment knowledge, funds, processes and a first-rate investment platform that will really benefit our clients. Building a clear path ahead, while offering lower fees to clients and potentially better returns makes complete sense. And through all these exciting developments, the team here in Okehampton will remain in place while we continue to provide access to financial advice for years to come.

I am genuinely proud to have founded and run a business in Okehampton for the last 20 years. We have overcome many challenges, especially recently, and found them outweighed by the rewards that have followed. Helping local people with their finances is not a bad way to earn a living. Now I am looking forward to our next chapter and growing the business over the next few years.
