WELCOME TO MOOSE JAW! HAPPY PRIDE WEEK!
WE CELEBRATE DIVERSITY
A MESSAGE FROM THE
PREMIER
On behalf of the Government of Saskatchewan, I am pleased to welcome you to Moose Jaw Pride Week. Home to a growing and diverse population, Saskatchewan is committed to being an inclusive and dynamic society. As Canadians, we are tremendously fortunate to live in a country that guarantees each of us important human rights, including the right to equality, and freedom from violence, harassment and discrimination. As community members, we have a shared responsibility to affirm our commitment to a society that is free from all forms of prejudice. The economic, social and cultural contributions of our increasing varied population enrich our lives and help sustain the high quality of
life in our province. We must take every opportunity to break stereotypes, build positive relationships, and celebrate differences to ensure that our province is hospitable and vibrant. Thank you to the dedicated volunteers and sponsors, as well as the organizing committee, for all your hard work in planning the various events taking place during this year’s Pride Week. Best wishes for a successful festival.

Saskatchewan Pride Network A MESSAGE FROM THE
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR It’s Pride Season in Saskatchewan and I have never felt so proud!
and offer diversity training across the province.
This year marks a record number of Pride celebrations with 12 communities across the province joining the fun. From the largest celebrations in Saskatoon and Regina to more modest flag raisings planned for Humboldt and Melville, we are seeing people come together to support diversity and build community.
And of course, a huge thank you is owed to all of the passionate and dedicated organizers and volunteers that are working so hard to make Saskatchewan Proud this year. Pride festivals wouldn’t be possible without you.
I am outrageously excited to walk in Swift Current’s first Pride March, to jump on the Hidden Histories Trolley Tour in Moose Jaw and to just play a round of Frisbee Golf in good company in Estevan.
Looking forward to celebrating the simple truth that “Love is Love” in so many new places and with so many new friends in 2017! Happy Pride, Saskatchewan!
Thank you to the Community Initiatives Fund for enabling us to begin working in some of these smaller communities over the past year. We have seen incredible growth as we help organize Pride events
