A Letter From The President Good Day, I started Moran Yacht & Ship in 1988 - 32 years ago. During the past 32 years I have witnessed many ups and downs in the business world, f rom the dot-com crash in 1999, to the 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001, to the Financial Crisis of 2008. But one thing is for sure, the US economy always bounces back. In every recovery f rom such downturns, we have witnessed signif icant growth and progress for business, equity markets and social advancements. I am certain that such a recovery will be repeated, and we will return strongly f rom this downturn, both in the USA and globally. In 1987, I was working as Captain onboard what was one of the largest yachts in the USA at the time. This yacht was a 127 Ft. Feadship. The owner of the vessel was a man f rom New England. On October 19, 1987, the stock market fell close to 25% in one day. Many people, including the owner of the yacht were distraught. During this period, he itemized all of his assets, and calculated his net worth, and wrote these calculations on a note pad. The notes that he wrote showed that on October 18, 1987 he had a net worth of $32 Million, and a day later after the crash he had a Net worth of $23 Million, which included his new yacht that I had built for him in Holland, which cost $4 Million. He went on to sell his 127 Ft. Feadship yacht in 1989 for $8 million. This gentleman is worth $2 Billion today. Which proves a couple of things:
- Buying a quality yacht is not like buying other luxury assets. - A quality yacht holds her value.

Your Guide to Cruising Croatia START PORT: Tivat END PORT: Split DISTANCE: 183 NM DESTINATIONS: 7 PEAK SEASON: April-September
For charter guests looking for a departure f rom the tried-and-true attractions of the Western Mediterranean, the eastern Adriatic coatline has all the appeal of the classic Med destinations, but with a dash of Ottoman history - and far fewer people. A bridge between east and west, the deep and jagged eatern coast of the Adriatic Sea has witnessed the rise and fall of empires. With its breath-taking beaches and charming Old World architecture, the region has much to engage the senses. Day 1 - Tivat, Montenegro Guests are welcomed on board at Porto Montenegro in Tivat. This destination marina has many gourmet restaurants on site, a spa and an acclaimed beach club. There is also a maritime museum where you can tour a submarine. Browse the luxury shops before settling in on board your yacht for cocktails and a stunning sunset. Enjoy dinner on shore tonight in one of the critically acclaimed restaurants in the marina. Day 2 - Tivat to Kotor Spend the morning cruising through the Bay of Kotor, stopping to play with the water toys, and arrive in the town of Kotor in the afternoon for an onshore excursion. Wedged between towering mountains, the ancient town invites visitors to wander through it narrow streets. The entire town is a medieval maze of museums, churches, cafe-strewn squares and Venetian palaces. Day 3 - Kotor to Dubrovnik, Croatia Depart Kotor and motor north toward Dubrovnik in Croatia, stopping in a scenic harbor along the way, such as Cavtat, for lunch. Arrive in the fairytale city of Dubrovnik by late afternoon. Guests might recognize the walled city as the backdrop of Game of Thrones. Enjoy a private tour of the town and a nice dinner in the ancient city. Day 4 - Dubrovnik to Korcula Depart Dubrovnik bound for the island of Korcula, stopping in one of the picturesque bays on the way. There are a hundred or so bays, so plenty to choose from. By day's end you will arrive in Korcula. This was where Marco Polo was supposedly born and it boasts the very house where it happened - but Venice claims otherwise. History buffs still will enjoy visiting the Marco Polo museum, which details the explorer's early life and exploits.
Day 6 - Trojir Today, the yacht will make its way to Trojir, the best preserved Romanesque-Gothic city in all of Europe. Trojir is a tiny walled island linked to the Croatian mainland by a bridge. It's jumble of red terracotta roofs, soaring spires and palm trees contrast vividly with the cobalt blue sea. Named one of the 10 island cities of the world by National Geographic, UNESCO-listed Trojir enchants with its Renaissance palaces, marble-paved alleys, and elegant stone churches, including the superbly designed Cathedral of Saint Lovo. Day 7 - Split Enjoy the morning at the picturesque Pakleni islands near Split before departing the yacht. Croatia's second largest city, Split is the ideal place to see Dalmatian life as it's really lived, perfectly balancing tradition and modernity. The Diocletian's Palace (a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most impressive Roman monuments) is worth a visit but throughout the walled city of Split, you will see dozens of bars, restaurants and shops amid the historic ambience.

Day 5 - Korcula to Hvar Today, sail on from Korcula to the island of Hvar, stopping in the bay off Loviste for watersports fun. At the end of the day, you will arrive in Hvar Town - the island's buzzy hub - framed by 13th century walls, featuring beautifully ornamental Gothic palaces and traffic-free marble streets. Take time to wander the main square and enjoy the shops, but when the crowds get to be too much, head over to one of the many beaches or a bay for a swim. Hvar's reputation of Croatia's premier party town is well deserved, so after dinner head over to the famed Carpe Diem nightclub to dance the night away.

There is so much more to do and see in the Exuma Islands than soley what is included in this brief sample itinerary. There are many options available to you, and whether you have just a few days to a few weeks, we will customize your luxury yacht charter itinerary based on the specif ic desires and interests of your group. No matter what, we are sure that once you have a taste of the Bahamas you will def initely want to keep coming back for more. Day 1 - Highbourne Cay Step aboard your bespoke luxury crewed yacht waiting for you in Nassau. Enjoy a divine cocktail as your crew briefs you on what to expect over the next exciting week. Shortly there afterward, the adventure begins by sailing toward Highbourne Cay. After anchoring in Horseshoe Bay, you can swim or wade ashore to explore the beach or kayak around the bay. There is a small marina with hammocks on the beach and a hilltop restaurant offering 360 degree views of the Exuma Sound and nearby cays. Day 2 - Norman's Cay After a declicious breakfast served by your private chef, you depart for Norman's Cay. This island is an exotic paradise featuring pristine beaches and crystal clear waters for diving and snorkeling. Diving sites include the Octopus Garden and Hammerhead Gulch. Snorkeing attractions include a sunken C-46 Commando airplance just below the surface or explore Twinkie Beach and collect stunning seashells. Day 3 - Shroud Cay Shroud Cay is located in Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park. Explore the wondrous beaches on the east side of the island and the view from Camp Driftwood offers marvellous views of the Exuma Sound. Nearby Danger Reef offers scuba diving for those adventurous enough to swim with sharks and big fish. Day 4 - Warderick Wells Continue South in the protected waters of The Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park at Warderick Wells. Explore more than 4 miles of trails on this protected island filled with stunning views of the surrounding cays and turquoise waters. Climb to Boo Hill, keeping a lookout for the stunning white-tailed tropical birds that nest in the bush. Enjoy beautiful secluded beaches, scuba dive or snorkel on the vibrant, protected coral reefs with friendly fish.
Day 5 - Compass Cay Swim and explore the Rocky Dundas caves and witness the amazing natural cathedral ceiling where light shines through by illuminating the fantastic colors of the stalactites and stalagmites along the walls of the grotto. For an unforgettable experience, swim with tame nurse sharks. Day 6 - Big Major's Cay Head to the beach and watch as the famous pigs swim. Nearby is the Staniel Cay Yacht Club where you can observe nurse sharks circling the fishing cleaning station. Inside Tunderball Grotto, you will see colorful fish and incredible coral illumminated by the light beaming in from above. Day 7 - Sampson Cay Heading back to the north stop off at Sampson Cay, a quaint island with beautiful vistas. Explore the Pipe Creek area. This place is ideal for waterskiing and snorkeling and another fun filled day in the water. Head north on the Bahama Banks skirting sandbars and skimming along the clear azure waters. Spend the night back at Highbourne Cay or Norman’s Cay and enjoy a beautiful leeward white sand beach and another refreshing dip in the ocean. Day 8 - Nassau After a leisurely breakfast and perhaps another swim or snorkel if time permits, cruise the 30 nm across the Yellow Bank to New Providence. If your schedule permits, make plans enjoying some local Bahamian culture by visiting some of the historical sites of colonial Nassau.
