Staff and Volunteer Opportunities One of the hallmarks of the Moravian Church today is a zeal for mission work and education. Volunteers play a vital role in Hope Center’s ministry through their roles as counselors, Jr. counselors, service day volunteers, program leaders, nurses and as visionaries through membership on boards and committees. STAFF Staff members are made up of both volunteers and paid staff. Volunteers are pastors and other adults (18 years and older) serving as conference deans and counselors. Some camps and conferences also utilize Jr. Counselors. Specialty Camp specialists are adult volunteers who have documented training and expertise in the focus of the camp. Family and adult programs are led by pastors and lay leaders. Paid staff members are young adults who are trained by the Center Administrator. They prepare and serve meals, provide office support, serve as life-guards, and perform facility cleaning and maintenance.
