A multi-instrumental acoustic trio based in Bristol, UK, featuring members of Spiro, Get The Blessing and Scottish Dance Theatre. As intricate as a team of watchmakers, as crystal clear as a mountain stream, the music encompasses both a cinematic sweep and an intimate delicacy, in which “the aroma of muddy leaves and old nettles is almost tangible” (The Observer). Adrian Utley of Portishead produced their latest album ‘Palimpsest’, released this year.

Since then, he has continued to push the boundaries of folk and his latest album, ‘Upcetera’ is no exception. Tonight will be a solo show. Nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2009, they are both a maverick jazz band and an unlikely rock quintet. Taking their name from a protective garment used on patients during dental treatment, Led Bib pride themselves on side-stepping convention, with incendiary results. “Rarely have two saxes, keyboards, bass and drums sounded so dangerous yet so compelling.” The Guardian “One of the UK’s most adventurous groups” Jazzwise

Friday 3 & Saturday 4 March | Doors 7.30pm Start Again will feature soloists Tyndale Thomas, Sasha Mitchell and Emma Williams. They will sing with an all-star band, a community choir and a children’s choir. Adrian Mitchell was a poet who wrote with humour, compassion and righteous anger at the state of the world. This piece tells stories about people and places including Back in the Playground Blues, The Boy who Danced with a Tank and the Woman of Hiroshima. You will also hear songs that bring us together in solidarity, People Walking and the Old President, and point to a positive future. First performed in 1998 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, More Music is proud to revive this powerful piece.
