Adult&FAMILY Why not try one of our regular classes or workshops and see where it takes you? Our friendly and experienced music leaders will help you to develop new skills, even if you’ve never played before. You’ll quickly learn essential techniques and build your confidence. All sessions take place at More Music unless otherwise stated.

This new session is an interactive and fun music group aimed at adults with learning disabilities. Led by Bill Roberts who has many years experience leading SEND music making sessions, this Monday session is specifically aimed at younger participants.

Learn new tunes, techniques and play with others. Have fun, try folk dances or singing songs. It’s a great opportunity to play along with jigs, reels, hornpipes and polkas. Ideal for ukulele and accordion players.

An informal strum and sing along for people who know a few chords and want to take their playing to the next level.

This is a lively informal group, open to all who like to sing with others. Songs are taught by ear, so there’s no need to be able to read music. Repertoire is drawn from round the world and includes songs in English.

Under 5yrs Music, movement and song for under 5’s and their parents/ carers. Session leader Anni Tracy creates a fun musicmaking environment for all ages, from babes in arms to grown-ups.

Baybeat Streetband 6.30—7.30pm Beginners 6.30/7.30—9pm Ensemble Pay what you want

8yrs+ Baybeat combines Samba percussion, brass and woodwind in a vibrant carnival band with a unique blend of Brazilian, Cuban, North African, Asian, Caribbean and popbased rhythms and tunes. It’s a community band with a non-competitive approach performing throughout the summer season.

West End Community Chorus Saturdays Fortnightly starting 8 September 10.30am—12noon Free

ALL AGES

Bowland Community Choir at Garstang Library 6.30—8.30pm £4.50 advance, £5 drop in

18yrs+ Join the community choir and sing a variety of popular songs. The repertoire links to the locality with both traditional songs and new commissions.

Long Walk Chinese Orchestra 6.30—7.30pm Beginners 7.30—9.30pm Ensemble £3 / £1

All ages Learn how to play authentic Chinese instruments like the Ruan (moon guitar), Erhu (violin) or Dizi (flute). All the instruments are provided. Music leader Rick Middleton has played Chinese music for 9 years and learned first hand from Chinese musicians in the UK and Hong Kong.
