NOEMY DO―CARMO Design Director
Designer Noemy Do-Carmo’s childhood took place in a then impoverished Montes Claros Brazil, where children made their own toys and games and where there was a stark lack of influence from the “modern world”. This greatly shaped her creativity and inspiration. Noemy quickly developed a limitless sense of imagination and individuality, always a leader and a curious, slightly rebellious young girl, Noemy left Brazil for Switzerland at the age of 14. From her late teens to early twenties Noemy passionately embarked on a mission to become a model and a fashion designer. She graduated at the London School of Fashion, and completed studies in fashion design at the American Fashion School London and at the Central St. Martins London. With a CV that includes roles at Lacoste, Gucci and Louis Vuitton and living around the world including Zurich, Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, LA, Cairo, London and Hong Kong, Noemy was used to running from meeting to meeting and plane to plane in high heels. Organically, Morena Morena was born out of Noemy’s own need for comfort and practicality - without losing the all-important style. Noemy needed a pair of chic flats she could scoop out and put on - simple, easy luxury, wherever she would wander. Applying her imagination and childhood determination, Noemy co-founded Morena Morena and has been crafting beautiful accessories for men and women around the world since.
