CONSULTING BOARD OF INSTRUCTORS

Coming Together in Strength & Solidarity The purpose of the AMAA is to promote inclusion of the disabled in the martial arts. Since we promote inclusion, it only makes sense to include ALL students, disabled or not in our organization. The AMAA is very proud to have several members on our Board of Directors and Consulting Boards who have disabilities themselves and are able and excited to share their experience. By working together, we can create a climate that welcomes students from all walks of life, allowing them to appreciate the health and mental benefits of martial arts training. By joining the AMAA you are pledging your support to inclusion of the disabled. Wear your patch proudly, because not everyone is open minded and ready to include someone

that doesn’t look exactly like them. “Breaking these barriers one move at a time” is our approach. Every student that joins is entitled to the benefits of AMAA membership – discounts on uniforms, equipment and martial arts gear. A GI patch and certificate, and discounts on AMAA sponsored events. Share your martial arts achievements with the AMAA community by submitting them to the AMAA Wall of Achievements. You will also be eligible for annual achievement awards. The Adaptive Martial Arts Association welcomes ALL disabilities including, but not limited to: ADHD, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder to Intellectual and developmental disabilities. This also includes age and injury related disabilities of all kinds.
