Background
I like to believe that there are no rules when it comes to interior design. What excites me the most is that, if done well, you can do just about anything with your space. As a designer, I am drawn to specialties within the residential design sector. I am passionate about creating personalized spaces for the client, beyond catering to their aesthetics and preferences. Even the smallest accent of originality and uniqueness can elevate a design. I always aim to make my clients feel comfortable by designing universally timeless environments. My diligent devotion to interior design has given me the confidence to seek a more in-depth understanding, allowing the knowledge that I have gained to follow me throughout my career. My experiences have driven me to coin myself as a “dedicated creative, a term that reflects my passion for creative and innovative problem-solving. I firmly believe that spaces should work with people, not for them.

the
Project
Bringing You Excellence (BYE), LLC is a “social-impact consulting firm that offers community engagement consulting, education training and program development for community focused initiatives.” Following a significant expansion in the company, BYE tasked Quin Gwinn Studio to create an office space that allows for creativity and collaboration.
the
Concept
Location was one of the most critical aspects of this project. Surrounded by the bustle of downtown life inspired the many choices made to bring this space to fruition. The goal; to mirror the vibrancy that the location evokes. The office combines a sense of excitement with a functional, co-working environment. The space must be inviting for users and guests alike. The company’s branding and philosophy inspired the bold color palette.

ALEXANDER RESIDENCE SingleBubblePop Design Studio / Fall 2020
the
Project
Having recently relocated from D.C. to downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, the resident is looking to furnish and decorate a new high-rise apartment. Through peace-promoting decor that creates convenience, SingleBubblePop Design will transform the spaces into one that feels a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of the resident’s work as a pediatric dentist.
the
Concept
Embracing the concept of Hygge, the guest bedroom relies on comfort from the space itself. Layered neutrals of gray, taupe and white create a streamlined feel throughout the whole space. Paired with warm, cozy textures, the bedroom feels more like a getaway rather than only a place to sleep. Feminine glam decor comes together to create a gorgeous living room that advertises extravagance and sophistication. Luxe textures, mixed metal accents, and pink and blue shades harmonize to make the living room reflect the resident’s style.

OFFICE OF 2040
Interior Design Studio V / Fall 2019
the
Project
With an emphasis on highly experimental, future workspace design ideas and solutions, student teams are tasked to design an office space for Microsoft to exist in the year 2040. The program scope is flexible according to teams’ specific needs; however, advanced technologies such as VR, AR, MR, and AI must be considered in their impact on future office environments.
the
Concept
Designing an office for the future calls for the consideration of the pattern of technology trends. Technology becomes purposeful, serving to bridge generational gaps and thus making it accessible to all users. Integration of advanced technologies such as AR, VR, and MR allows the office to maintain a diverse, ever-changing, and interconnected workplace. The design will emphasize simplicity and functionality through free-flowing forms and organic, natural elements. Integration of natural lighting will grant access to quality views and connect users to the surrounding environment.

the
Project
Working in teams, students will work to develop an independent senior living community. Communities will consist of several neighborhoods, composed of one-bedroom residences, two-bedroom residences, and a central community center. Inclusion of ADA compliant and universal design elements must be considered.
the
Concept
At Altered Studios, we will create a design that exemplifies a sense of serenity. Honoring Panama’s rich culture and heritage, we will utilize calming colors with the rich hues prevalent in Central America. Textural variation manipulated both aesthetically and as a way-finding technique will create further interest throughout the spaces. Defining universal design begins with granting residents a sense of control over their environment to enhance the value of their interactions within these spaces. Taking advantage of sustainable design choices will allow us to emphasize Panama’s abundant biodiversity. The forefront of our concept is creating a space that promotes the quality of life of our residents.

Project
Students are tasked to create a single-family residential interior that “uniquely defines luxury.” The project site is located in Serenbe, GA, just beyond the city limits of Chattahoochee Hills. The Serenbe community is up and coming, with a focus on community-building and sustainability. The residential home must be situated on a preexisting lot organized and designed based on a functional and thoughtful concept as appropriate to the clients.
the
Concept
Minimalist design is characterized by simplicity, clean lines, and a monochromatic palette. By taking advantage of an open floor plan, the Davis family can embrace a sense of comfort and togetherness. When confronted by the surrounding environment’s beauty, natural light flooding emphasizes complimentary taupe and warm gray accents. Harmoniously designed, the home allows the Davis’ to spend time with family and friends.

the
Project
Working in teams, Rome students will design a flagship store for an emerging European fashion designer. Each designer is a recent graduate of the renowned IED European Institute of Design in Rome. Students will create a store concept design based on their designer’s fashion portfolio. The collection will be contemporary, including the featured designer’s product line and complementing their style as appropriate.
the
Concept
Color, being so key to the brand, will find its way into the store with restricted impact. As the clothes embrace color fully, we offer a juxtaposition with subtle neutrals and colors in a restricted manner. As a men’s luxury retail space, comfort is essential; comfortability being the essence of luxury. To set a relaxed and laid back ambiance, lighting will be mainly task and ambient being brighter in selling spaces and deeper in intimate spaces. Forefront to our concept is the idea of fragments. Fragments can be abstracted and used at different scales for floor designs, wall art installations, ceiling panels, shelf design, and even in a terrazzo counter top. The idea of fragments is the common thread tying this space together.
