MANIFESTO No seasons. No industry. No rules. Morph Knitwear is the creation of Portland, Oregon based designer Angela Thornton. Angela melds artistry and utilitarianism to create handmade garments that challenge the traditional perception of knitwear, while retaining classic virtues of durability and timeless elegance. Each garment is crafted using the highest quality fibers, including linen, wool, cashmere, silk, and cotton. The shape of the garment and texture of the fabric are the foci of Morph Knitwear, and imperfections are cherished as much as clean lines and delicate seams. Morph Knitwear is an extremely intimate expression of self and emotion, and as such, perpetually changes and evolves. The concepts of individuality and intimacy used in the act of knitting endure over each evolution and are brought into relationship with the wearer – a personal communing between craftsman and consumer through the knitted fibers of a garment. Morph Knitwear is a return to the production of clothing as artisan craftsmanship, a challenge to the fashion industry’s churning belly of factory produced throw-away goods.

2016 COLLECTION I
Morph Knitwear's first collection of 2016 is deeply influenced by designer Angela Thornton's European peasantry heritage. She was inspired to create garments that embody the integrally utilitarian, comfort based design elements required by a workman's life, while balancing those qualities with a delicate versatility. This collection is constructed of pieces which strive to create a liminal connectedness from past to present, and present to future.

Hand dyed using ancient techniques and natural materials these pieces were first hand knit, then each was garment dyed in its own bath, for complete individuality. No two pieces will ever be exactly alike.

Every piece of Morph Knitwear is made by hand in our studio in Portland Oregon; each is crafted to the highest standards of quality, and from the noblest of fibers. Every garment comes with a hangtag bearing individualized care instructions to ensure the garment a lifetime of wear. We take pride in creating garments that last, and hope their construction and timeless design will also aid in redefining our current culture of disconnected consumption.
Wholesale orders are filled as quickly as possible, but please bear in mind that we operate on very limited back stock, and the vast majority of pieces will be made specifically to order. We so appreciate your patience and support of our craftsman’s approach to garment construction.

Opening minimum order $500. No reorder minimum No minimum item quantities Payment is to be made 50% up front, and 50% upon dispatch of order. First 50% payment is a nonrefundable retainer that will be retained by Morph Knitwear in the case of order cancellation. Shipping will be paid by Morph Knitwear on all US orders $700 and above; all international shipping and all import duties and taxes are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Both domestic and international orders will be shipped exclusively via USPS Priority Mail. Local drop-off is available free of charge for Portland, OR retailers. Domestic shipping fees applicable to orders below $700, and all international shipping fees will be calculated according to weight, and will be shipped using USPS Priority Mail. A shipping quote will be sent upon placement of order. International import duties, taxes or other charges are not included in the price of the product or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. We do not undervalue products or claim ‘gift’ on customs forms- it is illegal for us to do so. Lead-time varies from 2-6 weeks, depending upon order size. We will always work to have your order filled as soon as possible, and will always confirm the lead time for your order prior to sending first invoice. To place an order please fill out our order form and email to morphknitwear@gmail.com. Upon receipt of your order we will send you our wholesale contract, as well as an invoice for payment of 50% of the full cost of your order. Production of all orders will begin upon receipt of signed wholesale contract and fulfilled first invoice. The second 50% invoice will be sent to you upon dispatch, and must be filled within 24 hours of receipt. Damages and Returns: We make every effort to give you our best products and service and hope that you will be completely satisfied with your order. It is understandable, however, that occasionally you may wish to return something. If you are not completely happy with your purchase, please let us know by email within 7 days of delivery. Where a return has been agreed upon and the item cannot be replaced, the original cost will be either refunded or credited to your account at our discretion. The cost of returning a faulty or damaged item to us will also be reimbursed. Refunds and shipping reimbursement will be given upon our receipt of the returned item - the item must be returned within 30 days of original shipment. We reserve the right to withhold an exchange, credit note or refund if the item is visibly worn, damaged, marked, washed, smells of smoke, aftershave, perfume, deodorant or washing soap or is in any condition that we deem renders the item unsuitable for resale. Please note that due to their unique nature, bespoke or custom items cannot be returned unless faulty.
