CONSIGNING
WITH MORPHY’S
Let us guide you through the ease of our consignmemnt process.
CONSIGNMENT Once your item has been evaluated by our specialists and you’ve taken the next step in consigning your item(s) to Morphy Auctions, a Morphy Auctions team member will contact you to discuss the details of your consignment. We coordinate all of the details of your consignments and logistics from the consignment rate, date of the auction and when we need your items in house. Once the agreement is finalized, we arrange for items to be transported to our facility.
INVENTORY, INSURANCE & STORAGE Once your items are in our possession, they are fully insured for the median amount of the pre-sale estimate. Your consignment remains insured until it is transferred to the buyer who purchases the item at auction. Once we receive your pieces, our consignment team will tag and inventory each item. After the pieces are tagged, we schedule the correct expert to inspect, describe and estimate your items. We take pride in making sure each piece is properly documented and stored before and after the expert handles it, until it is time to display your pieces in our auction gallery. Morphy Auctions has advanced security systems in place to keep your items safe and secure.
CATALOGING, PHOTOGRAPHY & CATALOG PRODUCTION We partner with the most reputable and knowledgeable experts in the industry to provide unbiased descriptions and estimates for your auction consignments. With our vast network of specialists, there is no category too specialized for us to handle. Our team of full-time, onsite photographers capture the raw beauty of each piece we photograph. We shoot multiple images of each piece to accurately represent the item and capture even the smallest of details. Once your items have been fully assessed, described and photographed, our consignment team provides you with a Consignor Summary Report detailing each item’s title, description, estimate and photography. This report is emailed to you approximately seven weeks prior to the auction date. At this time, we ask you to review all of the report information and discuss any changes you would like with a member of our team. Our in-house Graphics department designs our hardbound catalog for each auction. The catalog is mailed to potential buyers approximately 3 weeks prior to the auction date. It is at this time, the online version of the catalog will be available.
DISPLAY In addition to your items being available to view online, they will also be displayed in our auction gallery for approximately 4 weeks prior to the auction date. Our display coordinator carefully exhibits each of your items so they are represented properly and are accessible for previewing. We use museum-quality display cases and locked preview rooms to display your pieces. All of our preview areas are protected by constant camera surveillance and handled only by Morphy Representatives.
SELLING AT AUCTION All auctions are held live featuring all of your items included in that auction. For buyers who cannot attend our live auction, we offer multiple bidding options including telephone, absentee bids, and online/internet bidding.
CONSIGNOR PAYOUT Payments are made within 45 days of the auction date.

Don in their antique and auction business in Duncansville, Pennsylvania. As a young man, he founded his own business and moved to New Oxford, Pennsylvania with his wife, Paralee in 1990 where they now run their business in the old bank building on the historic town square. Although Kelly is known for his inventory of tall case clocks, fire arms, Pennsylvania decorative arts and fire fighting memorabilia, he is interested in those objects that are outstanding in any genre and period. His reputation for handling the rare and unusual has made him a favorite with collectors and scholars alike. He has also worked closely with important institutions including the Smithsonian, Colonial Williamsburg and the Philadelphia Museum of Art to add significant objects to their collections.
D. Julia merger and has over 40 years of experience in the antiques industry. Tony decided to pursue his hobby of buying and selling antiques and the restoration of furniture after completing his academic achievements. He fostered relationships with English and European antiques dealers, resulting in an extensive wholesale operation involving both the import and export of many of the antiques he was handling. After owning and operating many antiques businesses and working at other auction houses, Tony now works in the Fine Art, Asian & Antiques division. Tony’s extensive knowledge and experience with furniture and furnishings from the 18th & 19th centuries makes him an asset to the Fine & Decorative Arts Division.

TOM SAGE, JR. joined forces with Dan Morphy in 2004 to establish Morphy Auctions. Tommy is well known in the industry for his expertise in toys, trains and sports memorabilia. His primary duties are to gather consignments, provide catalog descriptions and to represent Morphy Auctions at various shows around the world. Tommy grew up in the antiques trade and attended his first show with his father at the age of six, started selling trains at the age of 12 and ran his first antique shop in the Poconos at the age of 16. It’s not surprising that the younger Sage was attracted to the antiques trade at an early age. He recalls, “I was exposed to the business through my father, a long-time dealer, and was able to learn what collectors wanted, how to find it, and who to sell it to.” In the 1980s, Tommy relocated to the Adamstown, Pa., area to continue his pursuit of the antiques business. He is now an integral part of Morphy Auctions and brings vast knowledge and experience to the forefront of the company’s daily operations.

REFERRAL PROGRAM
referral programs in the auction arena. It is a very simple and very successful program. All you do is put us in contact with a person that ultimately consigns with Morphy Auctions. Once that consignor’s items are sold, you will be paid a generous referral fee. This program is an absolute winner for you, the consignor and the buyer! Just call our toll-free number and ask about our referral program. Take advantage of your connections and team up with us to generate another happy consignor!
THANK YOU Morphy Auctions is honored that you are considering entrusting your collection to us.
