Lord God of Sabaoth Church — 340-773-1320

Sold to the Lutherans in 1831, it was originally a Dutch Reformed Church built in the 1740s. King Street, Christiansted.

Pt. Udall Millennium Monument Easternmost point in the US. A giant sundial marks the azimuth of the first sunrise of 2000.

St. Croix’s National Parks — 340-773-1460

1. Buck Island Reef National Monument Proclaimed a National Monument by President Kennedy in 1961. Spectacular beach, hiking/ snorkeling trails. 7 miles from Christiansted. Accessible by NPS Authorized Concessioners. www.nps.gov/buis

2. Christiansted National Historic Site

Established in 1952, includes Ft. Christiansvaern, Old Customs House, Danish West India & Guinea Company Warehouse & Slave Market, and Old Scale House. Steeple Building is closed for renovations. Fort open 8:30am-4:30pm, Mon-Fri, closed Thanksgiving & Christmas Day. See Officers’ Day Room, Arsenal, Dungeon, and Cannons. Site parking. www.nps.gov/chri

3. Salt River Historical Park & Ecological Preserve

Founded in 1992 in cooperation with the VI Government, the Park documents the human & natural Caribbean world of early indigenous settlements here 4000 years ago through the 1500s.
