Outrigger Fact #1 History
In 1929, Outrigger Hotels and Resorts founders, Roy and Estelle Kelley, arrived in Hawai‘i with little more than a few dollars in their pockets and a lot of determined optimism. They saved, invested, started a family and 18 years later built their first hotel in Waikīkī. September 29, 2017 marks the 70th Anniversary of when the couple opened their first hotel in 1947. Their vision was to share the “spirit of aloha” with every guest.
