Where are the horses?

for the carriage. Horses?

It runs on garbage!

like i said, It runs on garbage.

It's a long story, but there's a machine inside that makes it go. No horses needed.

She's kidding. it runs on waste cooking oil from our school cafeteria. Sort of like you might burn whale oil, releasing an exothermic chain reaction of hydrocarbons to-

astounding.. . and thrifty!


All this progress--and there is still poverty??

Unfortunately, yes. but part of the reason we learn by doing is so we can apply what we know for the good of others.

...and raising money for schools in sidikho and Chebuyusi, Kenya, and then going there ourselves to help renovate the schools and teach younger children...

Another principle is 'global awareness,' the idea that students need to understand others' perspectives in our interconnected world. So we've started the trips program, in which-

...through their innovations in project-based learning, we've advanced the field of education on the national stage, and inspired some of the biggest gifts in our school's history.

Dean Woodman '46 gave $5 million to create the woodman community and performance center!

The parents of the class of 2014 gave $1.94 million to advance mb believes!

it's hard. that's why we're building a new community and performance center...

there's nowhere to sit..how can you worship like this?

...while providing a centrally-located gathering space to bring our entire community together.

MB’s new 36’ sailboat (donated by Dean Woodman ’46) becomes a floating classroom. • MB hosts a TEDx conference themed “Expeditions,” attended by 1,400 people.

ongoing | Burnham House Visual Art Explorations, Cathy Van Lancker—Third Floor How can you create 3D magic with simple lines and shapes? By using linear perspective, of course. In a few short and easy steps, you will learn how to give the illusion of depth and distance in your drawings.

Monoprint 101, Kristin Street—Third Floor

Come see a printmaking demonstration and try your hand at producing your own monoprint. This program was introduced to the MB community by Mexican printmaker Hugo Anaya and Moses Brown visual art teacher Kristin Street.
