Youth Awards in Literature

Primary and secondary students can demonstrate their literary skills by entering Mosman Library Service’s annual prose and poetry writing competition. Now in its 31st year, with cash prizes totalling more than $2,000, entries are expected from across New South Wales. Visit mosman.nsw.gov.au/myal to submit entries online before they close on Wednesday 31 May.

More than 120 guests attended Mosman Council’s International Women’s Day breakfast at Mosman Art Gallery on Wednesday 8 March. Special guest Australian Banking Association CEO and former Queensland Premier Anna Bligh AC spoke about her achievements and life journey, including her move to Mosman. Students from eight local schools as well as members of the public enjoyed a sit down breakfast while listening to Anna talk about her time in politics, her family, love of Mosman and various highlights of her impressive career.
