BY JANICE PAULDO I remember when my daughter Jana was in the Army, and she was able to come home for Christmas. We weren’t sure if she was coming, but we were hopeful. I will never forget the day she showed up at my job to surprise me and to spend Christmas with us.

This Christmas, as we all know, will be different for us all. But as for me, I will continue to keep the JOY in Christmas by remembering the reason for this season. Jesus was born for all of us to have eternal life with our Father God. I will miss the traditions of going to the Christmas Parades, attending parties, and just visiting family and friends. But this year we will still have a small dinner, arts and crafts with the grandchildren, and just good old fashion love.

I am so thankful to God for bringing me and my family through another year. God has kept us through some tough times, and allowed us to see no matter how it looks, He still has us. I would advise other mothers to always teach your children to be grateful, and no matter what difficulties that may cross their paths, someone is facing an even greater challenge than them.

Merry Christmas Everyone
