The first venue bringing the party to Dubai Harbour

One of the top priorities in March here in Dubai is making the most of its alfresco venues, and Bar Du Port is the spot everyone’s talking about. It’s the first to open in the new Dubai Harbour neighbourhood, and is already drawing in the crowds.

We paid a visit one Wednesday and were welcomed with gorgeous sunset views out across the Dubai Marina skyline, Ain Dubai and yachts docked in the harbour. Bar Du Port has a boho-chic feel to it, with décor inspired by the Côte d’Azur and Greek islands.

A DJ spun as we settled at our table to make our way through the cocktail menu, which is extensive. Bar bites are good for sharing so we ordered the lentil du Puy salad (Dhs70) with butternut squash and kale, chicken croquettes (Dhs70), with an oozing cheese filling and lashings of truffle sauce, and the mouthwatering 12-hour slow-cooked smoked beef mini burgers (Dhs95).

By 9pm, Bar Du Port is packed and we’re cajoled into staying a little longer as the whole venue transcends into an ultra-cool party, with a live band and DJ. Bar Du Port just introduced a brunch, too, priced at Dhs360 for house drinks and Prosecco. We’re told the brunch is already proving popular – so be sure to book well in advance.
