This is perhaps one of the most complex areas of a motorcycle perspective. We simplify the whole process by drawing on years of experience with Motorcycle MOT installations, the most advanced, widely used and highly reputed range of equipment, working closely with the UK’s leading motorcycle MOT equipment supplier, with over 600 MOT installations, who are experts on Class 1 & 2 MOT Testing.
The BT5000 MkII, undoubtedly the UK’s most popular motorcycle roller brake tester, has been designed to comfortably test the brakes of all motorcycles regardless of size, weight or wheel size. The neat, compact unit is fitted into the floor and all readings are taken from a wall mounted remote console, ensuring complete freedom from obstruction in the testing area. Testing could not be more simple - just ride on and the BT5000 MkII does the rest, testing the brakes and weighing the bike with a user-friendly remote control handset to command the operation. The combination of analogue and digital display provides valuable diagnostic information relevant to brake performance such as drum ovality.

Class 1 and 2 VTS layout The illustration (left) shows a typical example of how a motorcycle MOT bay can be laid out. Equipment positioning will be subject to your own particular preference and architectural situation, as well as the opinion of your VI Inspector. The following points should also be observed: • The brake tester must be 1.22m clear of any entrance / exit. • The brake testing area is taken from the centre roller of the brake tester (see drawing below). • Entrance to the MOT bay must be a minimum of 2.3m wide and 2m high. • The datum line is purely a guide to where the headlamp will sit, taking into account the wheel must remain in the standing area.

The KONFORT 720R is designed to recharge all car, commercial, HGV and tractor air conditioning systems. Despite its highly competitive purchase price, the 720R delivers all the advanced technology and stylish design of the KONFORT range. The KONFORT 720R is equipped with automatic refrigerant recovery and recycling and oil drainage functions. Quantities of oil and UV tracer are controlled by an automatic valve system. The operator therefore only has a few simple tasks to carry out. The 720R can be purchased configured either for the old R134a refrigerant or the new R1234yf refrigerant. A retrofit kit is also available to change refrigerant type.

The entire recharge procedure is completely automatic thanks to hermetically sealed oil tanks, a scale locking and release system and automatic refrigerant weighing. The 780R diagnosis and recharge station even implements a special procedure to clean all its internal circuits during refrigerant recharging. The machine carries out the flushing procedure automatically in order to clean out the system when changing from one refrigerant to the other. This procedure takes approx. one minute. The 780R will provide a solution for workshops’ who are required to deal with new vehicles fitted with the new R1234yf refrigerant, but also maintain vehicles which will continue using the traditional R134a refrigerant.
