Ventilation Kitchen Canopy & Extract The introduction of the The Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006 created the legal requirement for all buildings to have a fire risk assessment undertaken. To comply with current legislation, where any fire hazards are identified, these must be removed, controlled or minimised where possible. The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) regulations stipulate that kitchen canopy extract systems should be kept in order to keep fire & any other associated risks, to a minimum. A failure to comply with these guidelines could result in your insurance policy being invalidated.
