he first Asian Festival was at Marshall Park in uptown Charlotte. The purpose of the Festival is to unite all Asian com mun it ie s i n t he Ch a rlotte area to celebrate the AsianPacific Heritage Month of May. Attendance in Festival continued to g row i n t he en sui ng ye a r s, drawn by the colorful and diverse cultural presentations, food and retail selections. After a few years at the Wachovia Atrium, the Asian Fe s t i v a l m ove d t o it s c u r r e nt location at Ramsey Creek Park, and, toget her w it h t he Dragon Boat Festival Race, continues to grow as the Carolinas’ premier Asian cultural event. njoy the cool climate of the highest Motoring Festival in the Eastern United States. June 11-14th have been selected for the 8th Annual Highlands Motoring Festival. As in the past, Saturday, June 13th, is the featured classic car show, at the Highlands Recreation Park. The 2015 Highlands Motoring Festival will recognized Mercedes, 1989 and older, as the Marque of the Year, in addition to many other makes and models of
