Beautifully Crafted Arsenal OfAward-Winning Rye Whiskey,Maple Whiskey And Bourbon
In the city of Newton, NC in a warehouse, a little unsuspecting from the road, you’ll find the crafted works of sisters Baillie Rector and Andi Foss. Not only are they sisters but they are business partners and a dynamic duo of creativity that brings Newton to life with flavor and a pizzazz for the “Mad Men” mid-century modern style that makes Warehouse Distillery. Baillie and Andi come from a family of entrepreneurs, but it was around their kitchen island that the Setzer family all agreed their next adventure would be distilling. Through hard work, learning the distilling industry and trying different recipes they finally found the perfect recipe for success.
With a family that works and drinks well together you are sure to find a place that feels like home and that is certainly true of the family owned and operated Warehouse Distillery. They have a beautifully crafted arsenal of award-winning Rye
Whiskey, Maple Whiskey and Bourbon and a carefully curated beverage list to showcase their hard work oh so nicely. If you’re planning a visit to the Hickory region, a bucket list “must” is the Warehouse Cocktail lounge, located on-site at the distillery. An eclectic atmosphere, that is pet friendly with hints of the mid-century modern flare, a drink list with something for everyone (including mocktails,) and added touches like weekly food trucks and live

Fall is the perfect time to explore some back roads in the mountains and lose yourselves in the masterpiece of changing leaves. The Pisgah Loop through Pisgah National Forest and the Linville Gorge is one of those trips that will satisfy your adventurous spirit, take you to places you have never been and showcase the best of fall color. Journey north out of Morganton on Highway 181 where you can take in views of Brown Mountain, Hawksbill and Table Rock. While on Old Highway 105, stop at Wiseman’s View, a short, handicap accessible trail that ends in a perfect view into the Gorge with views of Table Rock and Hawksbill Mountains directly in front of you. Once back in the car, continue down 105
until it intersects with Highway 126, which leads you past Lake James at the base of the mountains. Look out for great views of Shortoff Mountain as well as other hiking opportunities such as Lake James State Park and

On November 1, 2022, Blue Ridge Distilling Company is launching DEFIANT PATRIOT AMERICAN SINGLE MALT WHISKY. It is a higher proof whisky than our existing American Single Malt and finished with high char barrels and staves.
The Mission
We want to start a movement to make November “Veterans’ and Fallen Soldiers’ Month”. One day a year is not enough to acknowledge the sacrifice of our veterans so each year in November, Blue Ridge Distilling
Company will be producing our special Defiant Patriot Whisky. A majority of the profits from these American flagged bottles will go to veterans’ charities supporting those who have fought in our wars overseas. We are focusing our funding to

those veterans who have been wounded in combat and suffer major disabilities and those who have severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) from combat service.
We sent them into the breach, they heeded the call, and now is the time to repay them for their sacrifice.
Defiant is a new way of distilling. We’re not bound by barrels or recipes or tradition. Our guides are the best ingredients, Mother Nature and our own intuition. We only use four ingredients. Nothing more. We’re starting a revolution in the whisky world. Join us.

Fall is In Season Around Stokes County, North Carolina
This October, discover a Stokes County State of Mind on a leaf peeping drive, windows down enjoying a kaleidoscopic show of vibrant auburn, yellow and red coloring unique to the Piedmont Triad areas of North Carolina. Take the less traveled path on rural roadways where the only traffic jam you may encounter is that of a tractor heading out to the field. Cast a reel at the Hanging Rock Lake, sit back to admire the colorful array reflecting onto the water, as you catch the largest trout of a recent re-stock.
Those tractor traffic jams are a key to rural farm life in central parts of the state and make up the lifestyles of many farm families who host agritourism events throughout the year and especially in the Fall. Local Farm events held in the fall and winter months when work on the farm is at a minimum, greatly benefit those visiting because it allows the families who own the farms to invite you to their property for unique special events and activities.
Visit Walnut Cove and make your way to Armstrong Artisan Farm, located at 1499 Brook Cove Road, Open all month in its sixth year the Armstrong family, led by Jessica and Austin the annual Corn Maze is one of the biggest in North Carolina. Featuring a map of stokes county with many major roads named, two bridges and the Dan River represented throughout. This year they wanted to represent the farm and county for all visitors to enjoy. Activities here are family friendly with the larger Stokes County maze, and the smaller maze with families of small kids and strollers. So families of all sizes and ages can come and enjoy the mazes. Other than the maze enjoy a wide range of activities with hay ride that will take you through pumpkin patches to pick pumpkins. Petting Zoo, Chicken Area, Jumping Pillow, Corn Pit and several other games too.
