Career and College

Fritz Rock Career & College Coordinator 651-621-6970 fritz.rock@mvpschools.org

Meet Mr. Rock

My name is Fritz Rock and I am the Career and College Coordinator here at Irondale. I am originally from Miami, FL but moved to Minnesota for high school. I went to Wayzata High School and eventually went on to play D1 football for the University of Illinois. An interesting fact about me is that I speak three different languages: Creole, French and English. The Career and College Center is a great resource space for students that are considering post-secondary planning as well as career pathways. Our goal for our students is to make sure that they all leave our building with a plan after graduation. I am really looking forward to building meaningful relationships with our students to better support them throughout their high school journey.

College Applications Remain Open

As seniors continue to determine what is next for them following graduation, college and university applications remain open. They are encouraged to complete applications as soon as possible. Though many colleges and universities continue to accept applications, many have deadlines of March 1. Application deadlines can be found on admission websites.

FAFSA

The 2023-2024 FAFSA is open. Students and families can complete the FAFSA in preparation for postsecondary enrollment for 2023-2024. Students and families hoping to access federal grants, state grants, and loans must complete the FAFSA. FAFSA information is located here: https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa

Minnesota Office of Higher Education
